Orders..?

Well over the past few days I have been thinking and pulling through my mind why people actually listen to the leaders of a clan, what is the motive of listening to orders. Is it because they are nice and want to be in that clan or is it to gain a rank fast. There are some other few on the list but these are one that come bare in mind. I don't get it, some of you don't even listen to teachers in real life but they do listen to runescape leaders.

It's kinda obvious that there are several reasons for this matter and I thought why not make a topic about it and find out why people are actually listening to orders.

Why do you listen to orders of your clan court ( includes: Council, Warlords, PKing leader, High Court, Leader etc..)

I listen to the orders because I want to be in the clan, we all know gaining a rank is cool as a side note but when listening to orders the clan begins to grow and turns up great, when doing the opposit it will go downwards. The first thing I will think of is the future of the clan, ranks are great but don't expect to earn in in 10 minutes. You need to work for them and gain respect. I also do it for the rank because then everyone respects me and looks up to me, but the biggest mistake people make is that they want everyone to respect them, you don't get respect out of a rank, you have to earn respect.

Ranks are a huge impliment in the clan world and the persons that have them basically run the clan world by showing maturity, variation and dedication.

Well certainly with the bigger Clans, the Leader/s is(are) what makes the Clan. Some have admiration for their Leader and complete faith in them. Or perhaps it dwindles down to the philosophy of 'follow the crowd'? Fear too could play a part in determining who you follow. The small chance of you being kicked from such a fantastic Clan or community may deter rebels.

Well you have to consider that they are responsible for your clan. They dedicate their time and energy towards making your clan experience better. You should respect them as people for that reason alone at least. There has to be orders anyway, dozens of people running around doing their own thing is not going to work.

I'm High Council of my clan so I'm the one giving the orders :P I suppose I only have to listen to the leaders, technically, but I still keep an ear open to everyone else as well.

People listen to my orders. My community consists of only 2 leaders. I try my hardest to make people leave elitism etc. at the door. I make sure that everyone gets a say in things regardless of what it is.

It's why I believe I never had any problems. I had a few people who wanted 'power' but I have a rather elaborate ruse against those kinds of people. :)

i dunno, u just have some leadership aura around u

because ur a hardwork

*hardworker and put a lot of effort into what u do for this communit

why?

Well really, everyone listens to the higher levels because the are (most of the time) trying to do what's best for the clan and best for the people in the clan. I mean, someone needs to step out and do something or else no one will do anything.

I used to listen to them because they were there in their positions before I joined the clan.

As time goes by, new people get promoted to these positions.

People who you spent time with in the lower ranks... People like you.

You know them and thier habits so sometimes its a bit hard to actually take any of their orders seriously...

I used to find myself saying "Don't boss me around!" or "Uh no." when they order us to do something...

Some players don't like taking orders. It just annoys them. Other players take orders to try & gain ranks, but after a whole when they don't they start getting a little disobedient. I'm just thinking that could happen, things like this have never happened in my clan. A few days ago, after a clan war uniform testing, two of the people who went to test the uniforms decided to go pking with the stuff I had given them. I told them if they're not back in two minutes they're suspended for a month. I saw them fly by on my way out of the Wilderness, so the feeling of being with the clan can be a reason why players take orders.
