Step-Parents

Ok, i was born in Ashland, Oregon, when my mom was 32 year old. Eight months before she gave birth to me she divorced my biological father. So i never got a chance to meet my real father, but not knowing what you cannot have isn't really that bothering.

My mom went in and out of small realtionships all until i was 11 and she met Andre, she married him, and now he is my Step-dad. But theres one thing not so happy, about this so-called resolution at the end of the story. I absolutly hate him, i won't go into a list, but personally i don't know why my mom doesn't divorce him, he is very un-intelligent, childish, 99% of the conversations with him about himself, not really taking intrest in anyone.

But anyways, i have heard of similar cases with my friends, they hate their step-parents, or parents girl/boyfriends. I think the reason that people are generally don't like their step-parents is because they are so used to a certain way of life, then as they are after the childish period of their life, and new intervening force come in, and disrupts thier adjusted way of.

Were your parents atheists? Cause you know, more than 75% of divorced parents aren't religious.

What the hell?

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

And given that about 50% of americans will eventually divorce, we are left with 112,5 million atheists, or about 30% of the population. They're outnumbering the christians these days!

Cause once women lose the "love of their life" they take whatever they can get.

You try and find a caring, hard working 40 year old guy who's good with kids who isn't taken; not easy :)

you're just gonna have to stick with it mate, or live with another family member.

My parents are still together but I can see how anyone would have hostile feelings agaist a step-parent. I could see how you would dislike this man. I'm thankful my parents are intelligent enough to have a good conversation (no matter how bias their views are). From your discription he doesn't seem fit to be a good parent. A good parent should be at least somewhat intelligent, mature, and not always talk about themselves but instead talk to their children about the child. Unfortunatly there's nothing more you can do other than speak with your mother and hopefully she'll talk to your step-father about changing his act. If he doesn't you only have to put up with him till you're 18, then you can move out and won't have to deal with him. Sorry I can't be much help here, but good luck with him. I pray he changes because I'm tired of the lack of intelligence in America.

i personally don't really care for my step family for the reason that you stated. I hate it! But I don't have to worry about it to much longer since I'm going to college next year so i won't have to live with them anymore!

I despise your logic. (Compliment =P)

When sperm whales mate, 3/4 of the sperm goes into the sea, not his mate.

Thats why sea water tastes funny
