When I used to play rs I'd take guthans then a beserker helm, whip and rune defender. The spear is pretty crap, so if you really want defense use guthans with 3rd age shield and whip.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think they should have just made the crystal sheild better... 70 defense, 50 agility and it is beaten by something with 65 defence requirement that doesn't degrade! Ah well no skin off my nose.

In a couple weeks, it will only be probably around 30M-40M as more will be available to buy because everyone is trying to get them from clue scrolls. :anxious:

Anyways, as said before this is a lot like Dragon is/was. No need to repair it at all, which makes it very good both on its own and used in the fashion wakka pointed out. That and the shield rules.

If you're going to compare it with barrows, compare it with the price of barrows when it first came out.

All I cna say is that the plate and legs are t3h ownage, they look 1337 and good Defense bonuses. I plan on gettinbg through clues and selling for loads of $$$, but then after about a month I'll buy/get from clue when it's cheaper.
