have you ever noticed at how many MMO's there are like there is so many odd mmos that people that have never heard of my Friends have never heard of RS one of my favrate other MMOs i play is guild wars which is not heard of eather by my friends at school if you other form members play obscure MMOs tell me about i'll check em out ive played alot of MMOs so far and screen shot would be nice. i'd love to here about your other MMO games.

Ill tell you this now, put some periods up atleast before the grammar nazies come. I couldn't even understand that and i can read bad grammar and spelling.

Guild wars, Lineage, etc. aren't "obscure". They have more players than runescape, they just aren't aimed at an audience that has naptime between 3pm-5pm so they are 'less known'.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just type 'mmorpg' in google, you will see tens of Korean mmorpg's and about 2 new ones popping up monthly. It's getting out of hand :lol: They are mostly carbon copies of each other (though not always)

Yha they are not obsure it just that im in high school and all the popular thing is like world of warcraft that bugs me like every one in the planet knows about it and some of my Friends all the do is talk about WOW and it relly bugs me.

The only MMO I've played that was quite lesser known was Shadowbane. When I was playing it peaked at ~1,000 players on the server I played on (during prime time of course).

 

 

 

All of the other MMO's I've played were commonly known ones so they're not worth mentioning.

Guild wars is incredibly well known.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Runescape is well known too, but not as a good game but as a laughing stock of the MMORPG industry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I wouldn't really consider Guild wars an MMO.. but whatever.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I haven't really played any "obscure" MMO's my self. Probaly the most "obscure" (although very popular in its day) I played was Anarchy Online.

All you had to do was simply figure out that it contained the first 3 letters in MMORPG and you could have easily figured that out.

Even if it's nitpicking, I'd agree with Runesmithie. While we're at it, let's just shorten it to M. Just use proper abbreviations (if at all...)
