I've just completed another big step, so I'll be re-designing this blog accordingly, it's not that I'm lazy.... well, actually it is :-$ ... but I've got exams to work on right now.

~Introduction~

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am Solidus 77. I've been playing runescape for over 2 years now, I love quests and skills. I'm a double nat abyssal runecrafter and bearer of the construction skillcape, my two most impressive achievements but I will always strive for more. I've been going all out combat recently, when i got 99 construction I was lvl 89 combat and now I've been training like hell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Why combat? It opens a lot of doors. Not that I dislike non-combat skills, but I find combat has different options to offer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

~Stats~

To be honest, I really can't blame pc for anything; if it wasn't for pc, I don't think I would have ever found the motivation to try out combat and discover new things in this game that I never knew I could do!

This is pretty much my ultimate goal. I love construction, it's my favorite skill because it's so customizable, it's so unique. Of course I plan to finish off my house... eventually but then maybe something like getting in top 10 might be fun? Anyways, I have a few pics of my house so far. ~Real Life news~

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm stuck with 2 IB exams in 2 weeks as well as an economic research paper so I'm pretty busy. Got the paper almost done but man it's so annoying to find visual components, so much effort needed :wall: overall however it's ok, just basically talking about bad infrastructure in developing countries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

~My current goal~

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

estimated time of completion: This coming Sunday! This means a house party where all Tip.Iters invited!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Going very very well. Pc is very easy to lvl up with and VMC is an awesome clan to do it with. They are extremely well organized and successful, and I've met some very nice people there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

90 attack and 90 strength were completed with no problems, hp took more effort and I got distracted but that's ok, now it's time for 99 defence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

~Kq, Barrows etc...~

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the end I couldn't resist, I just had to try out Kq and barrows. They both can be very fun at times, but now I hope to hold off on them untill I get 99 defence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've had no luck with kq so far, but barrows has been quite profitable, I post the drops in my sig and from now on I'll post the picutures of each drop here. (I lost the old ones, after my computer sort of died :( )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

~Other/Future goals~

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next up is 80 range. So far it's close to 72.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I plan to join GOF later on to try out DKs (after I get 80 range which will come shortly after 99 def. Expected to happen in june)

well thanks. With 1 mill per hour it's pretty steady income but getting the latest stuff can cost more than getting 99 itself. I might get so bored and use teaks for fast bursts at the end too

Don't use teaks, don't do it :| Oaks are actually faster than teaks, since you can use more at a time. If you want "fast bursts," stick with mahogany, but I wouldn't recommend it. They're very expensive and if you make Oak Doors anyway (10 planks at a time), they're not that much faster.

Well there is one single way where Teaks are faster than Oak (barely), but the difference is so minor that it's not worth paying the extra couple of million for the difference of like.. 1-2 hours at max? Even if you do have 91 rc :roll:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The goal is to maximize the number of planks you use at once. The more planks you use at once = the faster xp. Lets look at our options:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oak

 

 

 

60 xp per plank

 

 

 

Lvl 33 - Oak Larder - 8 oak planks - 480 xp

 

 

 

Lvl 74 - Oak Doors - 10 oak planks - 600 xp

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Teak

 

 

 

90 xp per plank

 

 

 

Lvl 71 - Ranging Pedestals - 8 teak planks - 720 xp

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mahogany

 

 

 

140 xp per plank

 

 

 

Lvl 52 - Mahogany Tables - 6 mahogany planks - 840 xp

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So there is one method of teak that is actually 120 xp faster than Oak. But at the pace in which I was "constructing," I would be getting:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

210k xp per hour using Oak - Spending ~2m gp per hour

 

 

 

252k xp per hour using Teak - Spending ~5.7m gp per hour

I think I'll do the larder because I carry 24 planks per trip which conviniently divides by 8. Considering doing teaks is a foolish idea.

Got enough cash for 92 construction setting me half way there (I'll get 92 next week) then I'll have to craft some more nats and do the final construction to 99. This will be done in febuary most likely
