Sox Sign Matsuzaka to 6-Year $52m Deal

The mets really need pitching. Is Zito the answer?

I like Dice-K, he looks like an stud, and I have him at no less than 15 wins this season. The only truely bad thing about the signing is that now the Sox don't have an excuse for losing the the evil empire. The Sox showed that they are no longer the "Oh, the Yankees have to much money! We can't outbid them on anything" kind of team.

So, the Sox have great pitching, which I wouldn't know much about, I'm an O's fan...I really miss Cal...

Yea, I think Zito is the answer for the Mets pitching needs. If he signs with the Mets I think he would be a much better pitcher because:

1) He will be pitching in the NL

2) He will be back with pitching coach Rick Peterson, who was his pitching coach in Oakland when he won the Cy Young in 2002 (I think)

122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength

97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting

I hate to burst your bubble, but he used to play, before this off season, in the AL. :-k

He doesn't know any of the hitters.

Let the Metties go, I started to believe Stein-devil gave them money, that's how they got Beltran, Pedro, Delgado, Lo Duca, etc.. in the same year :D

Can't say that anymore though can I?

Oh and Bballchamp, they also got Douggy back to catch Wake's knuckler! \:D/ .

I went to a game a couple years ago where Mirabelli, who would hit 35+ HRs if he played every game, hit Back to Back HRs with...Mark "Strikeout" Bellhorn . I considered the fact that Bellhorn hitting a home run was flat out a miracle, and he will strike out the rest of his at bats.

At least we got rid of Rudy Seanez. Tavaras actually looked great as a starter.

But Rudy Seanez *Gets the chills*.

Anyway, JC Romero's 2006

1-2 6.70 ERA

If only, if only, we still had Seanez, he could join the Mexican Duo! :ohnoes: , but we'd have to rename is the Carribean Trio.

What good is it bringing in such garbage firemen if they won't get the job done!

Weren't the Sox going to trade Millar or Mueller for Romero back in 2004 or something?

Rudy Seanez...Had the biggest nose. All I have to say.

I think I remember that game, Bellhorn wasn't too bad in 04, but was pathetic in 05.

Tavarez was incredible, first beating Halliday, the Yanks, and the Twins/Santana I believe. The three starters with most wins, Halliday, Wang and Santana...All beaten by a former reliever...

Reche Caldwell has the biggest eyes  . Like bigger than that.

Look at him when you watch the Patriots. They will zoom in on him and he'll start like, twitching his eyes, and they get so big

Man, New England athletes have such big features. \'

"There's little doubt that Caldwell can SEE the ball. Very little doubt. He surely keeps those EYES on the ball."

- Chargers (Former Team) Forum Comment of Caldwell.

Found it on Google.

I started to believe  Stein-devil  gave them money...

:XD:

Anyway, why is it that only 13 sports fans look at this fourm?

I know he was in the AL, and you said that he would not know any of the hitters, but the hitters don't know him. They aren't used to the Zito curve.

But I said that because the NL is said to be easier to pitch in because there is no DH like there is in the AL.

And just to clear things up, the Mets didn't get Pedro, Beltran, Delgado & Lo Duca in the same year. They got Beltran & Pedro before the '05 season. Lo Duca, Wagner, and Delgado were acquired prior to the '06 season.

Yeah me and Fad have these sport debates all the time. He was so happy when this happen, I kept on laughing. Too bad I got Soriano now.

I had a curse too :x

1st. Shea Hillendbrand. This guy turned me gay. I loved him. He WAS my favorite player of all time until "Sinking Ship" and becoming Mr. Big Ego. Get his jersey, I think it was June 27th or 29th. One of those. They played the Marlins and I got his jersey that day. Mid-July. "This just in, Shea Hillendbrand has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for Byung-Yum-Kim. Turned out to be a terrible trade, as BK was as bad as Burger King is fattening.

2nd. Nose-Mar. Got his jersey, a couple months later. Ugh?

3rd. Also got a Paps shirt at the end of June. :wall: He hasn't gotten traded yet, but remember how he slumped during August. Almost every night, frustration and crying myself to sleep. Waking up in the morning after I see the Sox have a 10-5 lead on the Yankees only to blow it and lose like 19-13. Red Sox losing 5! 5! 5! games to the Yankees in one series. That's disssssgusting. And now I have nothing to make fun of Yankees fans for =

uot;]actually J.D. signed a new 5 year deal

He failed his physical

:uhh: How do you fail a physical when you train for 6 months in the off season and play a sport year round? :-s

I have a Nomar shirt. One of my mom's friends, who's completely oblivious to baseball, got me a Damon shirt for my birthday. :ohnoes:

My curse is this:

1. Nomar...

2. Pedro

3. Mueller

The only people I have shirts of (Got Papelbon and Lowell in 2006 though) are all gone.

You fail a physical by hurting your elbow. I think he has another chance, I'm still split about whether or not I like him.
