Ok, so I was bored and decided to start making a background for my desktop... I havn't seen anyone make a pixel one yet so I decided I'd do it.... It gonna be the cyclops which I already have there, a minotuar to the left of him...maybe, and a hydra in the back...so what do you guys think of him so far?

You can't shade your guy from just one angle... his nose, eyes, lips and ears all have depth... They need shadeing...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can't just drop in some shadeing from one angle and say - wala finished...-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Try and draw some depth into your character..

head and neck's far too wide, looks stretched.. yeah you need more depth, imagine looking at this character from another angle with the shading you have atm, he'd basically be flat faced. keep at it tho, your general body proportions are improving.

I remember doing a pixel desktop image, other people might remember too. It's a lot of space to fill so it can take a while. Good luck and I hope you finish this :D

thanks, lol i'm pretty proud of the body so far, its probably the best body i've ever made. and yeah, now that you mention it the head and neck look a little...odd lol, i';; have to fix that later.

haha im a bit artistically tired atm, just finished a really big project so im not gonna make edits any time soon.. I only do em cus im so bad at explaining things through words most of the time lol, they do help tho dont they??

ontopic; the ruby coloured thing joining the straps across the chest looks weird, how youve seperated it into the three equal parts, is it going to stay like that?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the arm-pits seem too high up, and the shoulders should be a lil more rounded IMO

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the nose is also a bit.. weird... and as said before, lacks depth atm but im sure youll fix that :)

yeah, your edits help a lot, infact, i used that little guide you made me from one of my old sigs for his head shape and then rounded it out some, thanks Ter :D
