99 Ranged on 2/6/07 99 Hit Points on 9/5/08 99 Defense on 26/4/08 99 Attack on 14/2/09 99 Strength on 25/2/09 99 Slayer on 13/9/09\:D/

just coincidence.. steels are clearly harder than irons..

If you're maging, steels aren't any harder than irons (apart from having more hitpoints), they have the same magic defence.

plz i really need a quick answer

The chance of getting dragon items is really random. And just depends on luck really. I know players who have killed 2000+ metal drags and didn't have a dragond drop. I myself got dragon legs on my first ever metal dragon kill. (it even was a bronze dragon)

The drops are rather random, like all rare drops are.

I got my first dragon drop after a few 100 irons/steels mixed.

Fire bolt seems to be what most people use, magic dart is also very good. :)

As for the rarity of the dragon drops, they're most common from steels, but are still quite rare.

To be honest i'd just fight the monster that if easiest to kill.

You said that steels get hit more, but they have to same magic defense, so you are probably best going for irons.

That being said, the dragon drop chance may be different, if so, go for the dragon with the higher drop rate.

But, they may be the same chance, and even if the drop chance is different, i doubt it'd really be a big chance change.
