I was planning on getting cooking up on my newb, so I was curious as to what is the closest cooking source to a bank in F2P. Any help would be appreciated.

Keep a tinderbox in your inventory. Use the lumbridge bank (on top of the castle). Run out of the bank, light the logs that are 2 squares away, cook, repeat.

And thank you Zandalf. The only problem with that is the times I have being up there the logs have already been lit. I need a permenant cooking source.

but what is your cookin level a good spot is the cookin guild has all the stuff you need just bring (pot grainetc,etc)

As far as I can recall, it isn't that close to a bank, which is what I am asking.

What about Al-Kharid? The bank is very close to a range.

if you don't like al kharid. there is always the edgeville bank. west of the bank is a house with a cooking range. but it isn't as close as al kharid. plus, the door and gate closes. hmm.

If your cooking level is low, it's better to cook at Lumby castle as it'll minimize the times you'll burn your fish. But if you just need the exp and not need the fish, Al-Kharid is the best place to cook in F2P.

Alkarhid is defeitly the closet range to a bank. I heard there was only one place in p2p that was better than al karhid. Also you should use a range over a fire because with a fire you have to click muplite times to cook all, with a range you only have to click twice, i believe.

Varrock east bank is pretty close to a bank though.

No doubt that Varrock east bank is close to a bank. To me, the fastest method is making a fire right outside edgeville bank and cooking my fish on that.

i've used the lumbridge castle logs with tinderbox and gone from level 65 to 89 in couple of weeks. and i timed it, it's wayyyyy faster than al-kharid range, which i found to be quite slow

I have a question to add. I will be cooking over 17k fish soon and I am hoping to get some camo clothing, so which do you think would be better to get randoms with, al-kharid or the logs beside the bank in lumby?

for randoms, definitely use logs. i've gotten a ton. sadly no camo, but i did get a mime there.

The fastest way that I found was if you want randoms

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Make fires outside of Al Kharid so you're in the bank. You may get a few randoms but not as many.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you do want randoms, just do it in Edge.
