My first pixel in quite a while, I've been working on it for about 3 days now on and off.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would like some serious constuctive criticism and if people can show me some good techniques to improve the quality of it *looks at Godslayer and jr_striker* that would be great.

Good Job. It's looking quite nice. I would try make the strings (if there is any) more visible and make the sides of the neck easier to see. Maybe put it on a darker bg. Good Job =D>

I might add strings, but I thought I'll leave them out for now, or do them last since they get in the way of everything else. Thanks.

I know this was just suggested and you said you might later, but you should definitely add strings :) It will make it seem more complete.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And maybe add a darker shadow from the guitar on the background? Especially from the neck of the guitar. All I see now is a very faint one on the main part of the guitar. And maybe do a bit more with the background. It seems a bit too plain. Maybe make it on a wooden floor, so you can add more "wood-like" details, or something like that.

Guitars are very hard to pixel, just the whole shape is very hard to draw.

i play electric guitar so i just compared mine irl to yours :wink:

 

 

 

just a few special features mine has that yours doesn't but don't really make much difference.

Ok I've added strings, I tried to make a 12-string but that failed miserably :wall:.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now I'm working on a stand to hold the guitar, so I can add the floor in at the right perspective.

 

 

 

Probably gonna use Tripsis's idea of a wooden floor, but we'll see.

the gitar itself is a bit rough around the edges AA would help alot imo
