Took forever to get the tornato 'right', and I still don't like it. :wall:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

About 50-60 layers in this one.

 

 

 

And I did what I was wanting to do last time - Make it wallpaper size. :)

First off, lovly terragen piece. Great surface map and I love the POV.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The transition in this one doesn't seem as smooth, mostly because of the blue sky and red space scene. I'm fairly sure, if that were to happen, the sky wouldn't be all blue and cheery.

Whoa.. you just pointed out the same exact thing that was bugging me.

 

 

 

I was going to fix it but decided I've done enough in this one for now.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's fairly simple to fix, a simple color overlay will do the trick.

Awesome work once again, your improving very quickly. Only problem i have with it is the waterline, there should be some darker sand near the water, and a slight incline out of it would be good too. If you scroll down so ure only looking at the bottom half it looks quite peaceful, add some more red or something, maybe some craters in the foreground :P

Thanks for noticing, but that was the idea.

 

 

 

Your view is from a peaceful island while there is chaos going on far away.

 

 

 

The tornato is too far away to effect anything near the island/river.

wow very nice i don't know much about stuff like this so i can't give you C/C but it's very nice, and by the way the metroid wasn't that well hidden :P

Well the other one is very well hidden, considering you have to zoom in to see it. :P

the transition between the dark and light is too fast imo, there should be at least be a big explosion thingy if ur goin for a war between good and evil kinda thing. and the swirly vortex of doom thingy is just there, it doesnt seem to be doing anything.

I simply love the colours, they're breathtaking! They definitely make the picture flow nicely.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The right part of the water is bugging me a bit. The sharpness does give it a sense of depth, light and reflection, but maybe make it a little less sharp. It makes it seem less like water, I think. I love the water's edge though, it's fabulous! :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for the tornado - excellent colours and shape! But maybe make it a bit more defined? Not sure how that would look but it might give it more body/depth.
