nomader
How many of you have a friend or family member that you would like to get members for but it is such a hassle since it isn't your account. Perhaps you don't find it a hassle, but still think it would be nice to get them something as a gift. I was sitting and thinking today, and realized it would be nice to be able to purchase membership gift cards. JAGeX could set-up a system where by you purchase the gift card and print out/write down a confirmation code. Then when the giftee opens their gift, they can take the code, type it into a confirmation area on the runescape main page and get membership for however long the gift giver paid for ($5-month, 10$-2 months, etc...). Other online games that have used things like this in a highly successful manner. It increases the ability for people to get members. Not only do parents and friends get a chance to give a fellow Runescaper a nice Christmas gift, but JAGeX implements something that is profitable for them. Thanks in advance to anybody who reads this, and a Merry Christmas to all.
Captainkidd
There is...kinda, just buy a PIN for members and write it on a card and give it to them.
scootlaboot
that is certainly an interesting idea. I like it and it would make x-mas shopping a little easier. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person. Captainkidd
You guys don't get is its a 'GIFT CARD' then its a object, Jagex is in england if you would have to go there to get one. Or you would have to get it mailed to you....What if you live in the U.S.A? Also people would try to sell then cards for rs2 gp. Jagex already made it clear they are watching out for sales for real world trading.
Doughnut
To Captainkidd: S/he is not talking about a "gift card" per say, just you pay jagex a certain amount of money for a confimation code. Then you would print out that code/write it down and send/give it to your person of choice. There is no need to go farther then you your printer. Who in their right mind would sell these codes on Ebay? if you have access to buying things from Ebay(thats the main site I know about =/ ) then I am sure you have access to buying membership. Nice idea, I wouldn't mind this being implemented. :) "A time comes when silence is betrayal" MLKJ Speak your mind, but be civil.Get mad, but do not rage.Do unto others as you would want done to yourself. nomader
Nice to see other peoples comments. Yes this would be like the gift cards you get in other online games where it is a confirmation code that you type in, not a real card. Something nice for Christmas or a birthday to give to someone as gift.
