First, a little speech.

One year ago, 12 months, 365 days, the school newspaper was released. This edition had an article. An article about RUNESCAPE. This article had the basics, a brief description of the game. Enough to make someone try it. Someone like me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So I got home, took off my jacket, and felt the warmth, opposed to the freezing Boston winds. Then re-read the article, and started up my computer. I opened up Mozilla Firefox, and typed into the URL bar "www.runescape.com".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I clicked "Create a free account (New User)" and entered my details. My account name, Penguinduck2. I clicked "Play RuneScape", and a journey was commenced.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I made my way through Tutorial Island, but only to get confused once on the mainland. I tried using wind strike on a guard, and that was a fatal mistake. I had all my runes with me, and had no idea how to get them back, so I started again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once again, I found myself on Tutorial Island. This time as Penguinduck3. I paid more attention, and this time, I understood the game. I reached the mainland, and I was ready. Ready for what has happened in the past year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amongst those events were:

 

 

 

-Signing up for TIF (4/21/06)

 

 

 

-Finishing Dragon Slayer (5/3/06)

 

 

 

-Becoming a member (6/28/06)

 

 

 

-Reaching 1 million coins (8/23/06)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

These events have paved the way for one event, scheduled to happen on January 20th, 2007. And with that, I finish my speech, and bring on the party details.

This is where I get 1000 total, 70 mining, etc. I will be very few XP away from 70, and will mine 1 iron ore. Then you'll see the flashes behind me, and that'll be the sign I have 1K total.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Part 2 = Drop Party

 

 

 

World: 90

 

 

 

Location: South-east of Falador east bank. (Pic coming)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If there are enough people (I'm guessing 20-25+), I will drop some items. I will sell the iron ores I have acquired previous to this point, and will either drop some money, or buy items to drop. No, I won't drop everything, just some. So yeah, invite your friends. Have them invite their friends. So we can have many people, so I will drop items. And feel free to drop some items as well. (They don't have to be good...)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Part 3 = House Party

Location: My House (Rimmington)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will lead all P2Pers to the Rimmington portal. (Add me to your friends list so you'll know when to switch worlds) Then we'll enter my house, which has been upgraded to 42 construction material over the course of my training. It's not that good, but I'll get a butler to help me out. This'll require at least 10 people...(P2Pers)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Part 4 = Castle Wars

If there aren't enough people for a drop party or a house party, this'll be directly after the achievement. If there are, I'll kick everyone out of my house. Anyways...This is the end of the party. I'll lead a mini-freak train to CW. Where you can play as many games as you wish. And join Saradomin. Please. Fine. You don't have to. But it's better. Since Saradomin>Zamorak.

Some of you may remember my incomplete blog from a while back, "the Road to 1000 Total Levels". Well, it's back, except not really...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm done with everything I planned to do to get 1K total levels except for mining. I'm at 996 right now, and 66 mining. So add four to each, and you get 1K total and 70 mining. Addy rocks, here we come!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to the Tip.It Calc, it will take 5756 iron rocks to 70 mining. That's 206 trips. I'm planning on having a one-year of RuneScape/1K total level party on January 13th, so that gives me...18 days...206/18 is about 12. So 12 trips a day. No biggie.

Day 1 (12/27/06): I've headed from my house to Taverly mines, and iron rocks are starting to disappear. Quickly. 3 minutes for a trip. Looks like it'll take about 620 minutes (10 hours) to finish my entire goal...I'm also planning out party details, mods, should I edit them into this post, or make a new topic in Tip.iter Events? Oh, and feel free to visit me...World 91...(All this blog needs now is pictures, I believe. Which will be coming soon as 67 mining is very near.) 67 Mining! Picture below...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 2 (12/28/06): Just mining...Mined 360 iron, more than 12 trips. Also got 3 sapphires.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 3 (12/29/06): I've reached 1000+ ores, namely 1/5th of the ores needed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 4 (12/30/06): Almost 1.5K ores, and 1/4th of the way done. I also went to the KSA party right before, got some decent items.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 5 (12/31/06): Happy New Year's Eve! I'm halfway between 1.4 and 1/3. Mining isn't as boring as I expected, it'll probably be a week before I die of boredom. I've collected 8 sapphires in 5 days. Not too bad...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 6 (1/1/07): Happy New Year! I started off 2007 by reaching 1/3 of the iron I need. 1920 iron! And 48 left until level 68!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 7 (1/2/07): Today is the day I reach 2K ores AND 68 mining/998 total! Yay.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 8 (1/3/07): Nothing special...Nearly halfway there!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 9 (1/4/07): HALFWAY! And this uncut ruby looks nice...The party might be January 20th, as I'll be going crazy over 24 the weekend of the 13th. (Sapphire count is now 9...)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 10 (1/5/07): I had no time to mine. I'll make up for it tomorrow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 11 (1/6/07): Double-shift...-.-...At least I'll make a lot of progress.

Day 13 (1/8/07): The boredom has finally sunk in. I've skipped a day of mining, which will be made up for on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 14 (1/9/07): If I feel like it, party details will come out tomorrow. Friday at the latest. I've also picked up two emeralds...And a sapphire...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 15 (1/10/07): Another off-day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 16 (1/11/07): Party details...Tomorrow...In the meantime, I'm over 3/4 of the way done. And these gems are popping up like crazy. One sapphire and one emerald.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 17 (1/12/07): Okay, no party details. No mining either.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 18 (1/13/07): I spent my regular mining time freezing in Boston. While I was doing a project for school.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 19 (1/14/07): Finally back to mining. I would do a double-shift, but today is the 24 season premier, and I want to watch that. Anyways, party details are up!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 20 (1/15/07): Even with the day off from school...No mining today. BORING!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 21 (1/16/07): 5K ores! W00T! And yeah...Post here if you're coming to the party...And yay, another ruby.

Day 23 (1/18/07): I spent most of my one-year of RuneScape at a math meet. We briefly discussed RuneScape...And in my extra time, I watched a Penguins/Bruins game and mined 160 iron. And the bar at the top looks full, doesn't it...? 5K more XP!

Yay! You're my level now! I'm just way too lazy to mine to 70 :. I'm slowly but surely mining iron and coal now and smelting steel bars. I have 203 bars now :P.
