I heard a rumor that you can buy a private server where you are the only one on the whole server. Is this true or is it a scam?

Private servers are illegal. Do not discuss these on the forums.

 

 

 

Edit: Yes, there are private servers where you can be the only one on the server, so it is not a scam, but again, it is illegal. Also, everything you do does not carry over into the real runescape.

Yes, they're illegal, but they should be allowed to be discussed. Disallowing things from being discussed just makes the people more and more curious <.<

People run private servers and they are not too hard to find on google. If you want to discuss them, just find a private server forum... I am sure admins will lock this soon.

Don't bother with private servers.

 

 

 

Most have barely anything installed in them besides all the items. You can't do quests, or kill monsters or anything. It's only fun if you can find like 100+ people to play with you, which is rare.

Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....

As some have already posted, private servers are against the rules. =; That also includes the discussion about it and third-party clients that may be involved.
