Lobby4
Is there some sort of rule of when you are poisoned by a player or is it just random?
tru_vampire0
be more specific? When I Have It, It's the World's. When I Don't Have It, The World Is Mine.
Lobby4
I mean like how sometimes you are poisoned right away, and sometimes they don't poison you for a minute.
The_Dragon_Reborn
Poison hits you once every minute, or 30 seconds depending on the strength of the weapon poison. ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet. 25leaf
I think he is wondering what are the chances of you getting posioned. By another player such as in the dueling arena, you have to get hit by them. Even then you can go a few hits without getting posioned or get posioned on the first hit. That is just chance. Lobby4
I mean when the poison starts. Sometimes you don't get poisened right away by their wep. Is their any rule when you'll be poisened, like after 2 hits?
The_Dragon_Reborn
I think it's just random. But, most of the time, the first hit poisons your opponent. ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet. raylifes
Yep it is random, but players do have to hit you do inflict posion. The hit that posions you is pretty random. Are you certain about that? Because I know for a fact that monsters can poison you while you are protected. For example, poison spiders can poison you even though you are protected from melee, so are you sure it doesn't work that way with players? Protection prayer only prevents you from taking damage from the main hit damage, not from the side effects associated with it. Main damage is the damage that the weapon inflicts without any other effects kicking in (like a Dragon Dagger hit, with no poison, no prayer, etc.). Boost prayers modify this Main Damage, and Protection Prayer reduces this Main Damage to zero if it is non-zero (however if it is non-zero, you are still considered to be hit). For the record, Dharok's Set Special (and the only barrow set special that does this) modifies the Main Damage. Now Protection prayer does NOT stop you from any other side effects applying to you should you be considered to be hit. Popular Examples of side Effects are: Poisons from Poisoned weapons Barrow Set effects (with exception of Dharok. Hence if you were praying against Guthan, and Guthan supposedly hits you for 23 and heals. You will take 0 damage due to prayer, however he will heal 23) Smite Prayer Any Side effects from special attacks from weapons, such as energy drain. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills.
