I disagree completely. This minigame isn't a challenge, the only challenge is getting a team that know how to play.

CW has more of a challenge than this and requires some skills, whereas with BA you just go through the routine of killing/defending/etc.

I disagree. I've played hundreds of Castle Wars matches and I can safely say it's hardly a challenge since:

1: All you need to win a game is to be on a higher level group than the opposing team.

2: It's a bloody capture-the-flag game. See Warsong Gulch in World of Warcraft and every other first-person shooter there is.

3: You don't need ALL of the players to be efficient to win in Castle Wars whereas Barbarian Assault NEEDS all the players to do their job or a game is lost.

4: Any time you win a game in Castle Wars you ALWAYS get points regardless of performance while you might get NONE at all if you did a horrible job in Barbarian Assault (it happened to me when the healer didn't use his horn -.-)

The only minigame that can compare to this one's challenge is the Fishing Trawler even though players in it can do every role immediately.

To be good at cw, you need skill, to be good at ba you need to learn a repetitive pattern of gameplay.

*blows horn*

*picks up eggs*

*loads eggs*

*blows horn*

*picks up eggs*

*etc*

*etc*

You do that on the 10th level when the Horn is disabled. :-k

*collect yellow eggs*

*pass to healer*

*receive eggs off of collector*

*load*

-repeat til dead-

You get my point. It's the same motion again and again, be it in any role, kill things, lure things (frustrating btw), collect eggs or heal mates and kill poison things.

ONce you've done it once you are basically an expert as nothing changes.

I find this BA more of a Challenge than Castle Wars cause in BA you Have to work as a team if one dies the whole game is gone. in castle wars you can die as many times and theres not as much Teamwork in CW as BA

about picking eggs:

- never get blue ones. they only hit 0 and u can only have 25 eggs in inv at rank 1 (scroll, games neck, horn, pouch)

- focuse on helping attacker and get mainly red eggs

- after inv is filled with red and green go and shoot runners. they have only 5 hp

Then just repeat that 10 times and beat the queen...

Done the exact same thing 3 times :S . Gambled 500 points and got 50 bloods :(

so lets assume getting 300 of each point takes about 10 hours (will be less later when ppl rank up)

fighter hat ~10 hours to get -> torag is way cheaper and better. zerker for those who want str and warrior for whippers. USELESS

healer hat ~10 hours to get -> ahrim blah blah... USELESS

ranger hat . . . . . . . . . .. . . -> same range bonus as archer helm. blessed coifs easier to get than ranger hat USELESS

fighter torso . . . . . . . . . . . . -> barrows armours own it totally. fighter may have +4 str but only about 66% of def bonuss (talking about slash!). USELESS

runner boots ~well long anyway -> "+5 kg (yes plus) " USELESS

runner hat ~well long anyway -> not sure if works as improved lightness

penance skirt -> if reduces weight it'll be usefull. otherwise not

penance gloves -> reduce ~4,5kg I've heard

STOP FLAMING MY THREAD!!!

no way , this really needs teamwork, quite a difference with castle wars , i could do nothing all game and still get tickets

erm can i just remind people what the question i asked was...

are there any worth while rewards getting.

The self satisfaction and enjoyment in working as a team with your friends.

Maybe they should lower the Defence Requirement to 30 of some of the Armours? And the Helms to 40..

Why's any game worth playing at all? Because it's fun. Exp per hour doesn't mean anything in this life, but the amount of fun you have playing the game does.

I partly agree. Yes, any minigame, and the whole game in itself, is designed to have fun.

But IMHO the 'funfactor' increases when there is something to show off that you have had fun is this minigame. Just like the golden armour in CW.

But the rewards of BA are quite contradicted to that. They only give you something that is good, so ask you to put time in it, not necessarely you have had fun with it.

So after you have had your fun, and finally got all the items, there is nothing to play for anymore. So IMHO there should be some purely decorative reward that costs a LOT of points.

There is a MAJOR difference between having a capable team and having a team that works together. a bunch of lv 126's is a capable team, but if all they do is sit there do nothing to help each other out, then its game over. you might argue the same is true for CW, but because there are more ppl allowed on the team, chances are that you CAN get away with doing nothing. In BA, that is near impossible

Once you get the gloves of lightness and fighter torso its pretty useless. I don't really enjoy playing it much. I think they need to introduce Cwars type armor that can be obtained after killing the queen a certain # of times. Maybe a set for 10 kills, 100 kills, 1000 kills, 1500 kills, 2000 kills. That will keep people coming back to it :wink: . People need something to show off what they have done and as it stands, there really isnt' anything for that game to do this...yet.

2000 seems like a BIT too much.

Maybe 10, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1,000.
