runiburger
Hello! I'm looking for a mid-high end laptop around $3000(A$3800). Minimum requirements for it: 17" Screen at 1680x1050 or 1920x1200 resolution 7900GTX/7950GTX GPU T7200 Core 2 Duo Processor 2GB DDR2 RAM at least 60GB 5,400/7,200RPM SATA HDD Dual Layer DVD writer PC Card and/or Express Card slot And battery that will last over an hour and battery avaliable. Preferably not NewEgg, because they don't deliver to countries other than the US. Thanks heaps. I like bees
Mercifull
You have posted specs for a PC not a laptop... Stuart_G
The T7200 is a Core2 variation for laptops. 7950GTX's don't exist IIRC and while the 7900GTX can be gotten, I've only seen it available in SLi configurations. You're in Australia, so your best bet would to take a look at a custom Dell laptop. I had a quick fiddle and for just under $3800AUD, you could get a T7200, 17" screen able to run at 1920x1200, 2GB RAM, 80GB Sata HD and a GeForce Go 7900GS. That would probably be one of the closest set ups to what you wanted. But yeah, take a look at Dell and have a fiddle around with their options and find something that is what you're after. runiburger
I think you can get 7950GTX's at this place: url]http://www.pioneercomputers.com.au/products/configure.asp?c1=3&c2=15&id=1688[/url] But I'm not sure what I should get, the Dell sounds good, is it an Inspiron 9400? And btw, what does IIRC stand for  Thanks, I like bees

Mercifull
They both mean the same thing though. You wouldnt say to a person "if i recall wrongly" or "incorrectly"? runiburger
Oh, I've been wondering what IIRC was, I thought it was that chat program. I went to Alienware its so expensive but the PC look good. I wonder if Pioneer Computers is any good. I've looked at a few Dell's and They are a bit expensive. I heard a 7900GS is about the desktop equivalent to a 7600GS and a 7950GTX is equiv. to a 7950GT, is this true? Has anyone had experience with laptop graphics. Because I'm unsure. Thanks, I like bees

das1330
alienware? I don't reccomend them. They have nice products but oh lordy are they overpriced. actually if you price it out and match everything up they are about the same price as other manufacturers. but if you want that configuration get a http://www.dell.com to get what you want will cost you about 2000-2100$. im actually going for the same specs and got an alienware with the same configuration as the dell, it was like 100$ more but the motherboard was faster.
