Nice shots there, shame it isn't a better camera though, could really bring them to life with a decent camera.

I have a new camera, but my dad took it with him. He is now on business trip in Bangok. After he comes, I can take better photos with it.

those are some nice pics though its a shame you didnt have your better camera. the wood ones remind me of my grampas woods in new york

I'm not a fan of them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first one has a poor depth of field, if you were shooting with a compact or an SLR style camera, you could have had the branches as lead in lines if you switched to the macro facility.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The second from the top has a nice idea, but the problem is that it's not one or two footprints in the snow, its lots, plus tyre tracks. Had you been up earlier you could have marched about in the snow and taken a photo of that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Compositionally, the third photo is fine, but there isn't anything there to grab the viewers attention. If you had someone with you, you could have got them to stand somewhere with their phone out or something, so there's something going on in the shot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The fourth is okay, but again isn't quite straight. I would personally have avoided taking a photo with a distraction in the left vertical third of the shot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The snow should act as a reflector to the light, making you require a faster shutter speed, you must have had a tiny apeture for that, but you've got camera shake in the third from the bottom, very noticable too.

 

 

 

The focus isn't very good, the foreground is blurred, the composition is cluttered, not great.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The second last shot isn't straight but other than that fine. You should have the trees at a 90 degree angle to the bottom of the image. I've made mistakes like that too, but I don't know any photoshop techniques to correct it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The last shot has the bottom front leg cropped off. Ideally you should be leaving a small border around the edge if you intend on printing and framing. I always do this, so that you never leave out the main subject. You can clone out, but you can't clone in. :wink: However, it is a nice subject for a shot if composed well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm sorry if you think that this was a little harsh, that was not my intention. I just want to give the best advice that I can.

+1, I do agree with all of that, I was thinking it.. But don't have the time to write it down.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think you had the oppertunity to take some really nice photos, In future, You should take multiple photographs of the same object/person/scene, but on different apetures, focus settings, ISO, then at the end, you can decide which one looks better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chances are, If you go back a day later to take the photography, Your oppertunity would have gone.
