sneaki Posted January 14, 2007 Share Posted January 14, 2007 Hey..I need help with power mining. Okay, thats the intro. I'm F2P. Now...I have 61 mining at the mo and want to powermine until 75. I'll keep at it whether it takes a month or a day, and I need some help. Should I mine at the scorp pit, at Rimmington or Varrock mines? Or some place I've never heard of? Any methods - when I should drop the ores? Is the ore iron? I think it probably is. All I need is what you believe will get me through fastest to 75... Thanks! I trained from 55 to 60 in Rimmington mine. Took about 4 days. So if you want to do all the math, take the exp gained per day for me then find out how much exp you need for your goal. Use a simple ratio to find out how long it'll take. In other words: my exp gained/4 days = exp per day. Then take your total exp needed divided by my exp per day to find out how long it's gonna take. anim7 Posted January 15, 2007 Share Posted January 15, 2007 i am lvl 72 miner. powermining is very good xp, but only for the really dedicated. for ie, when i was 67, i reeeeeeaaaaaaaallllly wanted to mine addy so i powermined till 70. sounds like ur in similar situation. i would personally just started powermining when i am about 65+ because it is not as easy as it sounds. i mean i have calculated the xp/hour many times and it sure is appealign but u have to have that "no lyfing" mentality which i cannot do. i wanted to get to 85 and i could do it within a month if i had no lyfe. but i can only go for about 50-60k xp in one sitting. after that i get bored. basically make sure ur invent is full up till the 6th row. 20 spaces should be filled and then use "drop 3, mine 3" method. u just have to right click, and then move mouse down a lil bit. then left click. remember the mining guild is ur friend. u get coal and u get some xp. i did taht till 66. then hit the chasm for some powermining. take a break after each level. go mine 3 loads of mithril after each lvl up at the swamp mines. 100% F2P85 Mining achieved on Dec 4, 200785 Smithing achieved on May 28, 2009 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Freesia Posted January 15, 2007 Share Posted January 15, 2007 With those stats you should do fine in wildy hobgoblin mines, there's practically no competition there, just 3 item (i suggest rune chain, rune legs, rune pick), bring a chisel for gems you mine out and survive there for 15 minutes until hobgoblins stop attacking. Just keep a lookout for suspicious white dots. One that comes charging in is very likely to be a pker Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
