January 15, 200719 yr Can someone tell me what is the best/cheapest way to gain up magic on f2p. I want to also gain hp along the way.
January 15, 200719 yr Well, the cheapest way is through failed curses. Wear metal armour to get your magic bonus down. Anything that'll get you hp exp is going to be pretty expensive.
January 15, 200719 yr Fire strike is the cheapest method that gives hp xp. Craft your own minds and airs and use a fire staff. January 15, 200719 yr :-w Fire strike is the cheapest method that gives hp xp. Craft your own minds and airs and use a fire staff. Actually earth strike is cheaper as you only use 2 out of 3 runes, but still get 82.6 % of the xp (when failing both) and 78.1% of the xp when hitting max at both. It aint much difference, but if youre going to cast several thousands you might want to consider it even though youll have to cast some more spells... My two cents Currently selling: 15k air runes for 225k (15ea) 6k steel bars for 3.6m (600ea)
January 18, 200719 yr Author So the cheapest way to gain magic with spells that give hp would be earthstrikes? Should I use earth strike or fire strike to go to 59 magic?
January 18, 200719 yr Earth strike. Use an earth staff and mind runes + air runes. One less air rune per cast, by far cheaper.
January 18, 200719 yr Curse, very good xp(29) and only 25gp a cast max so ratio of cash:xp is less than 1:1 Value for money right there Fire cape - 10th attempt - 28/10/0694 Magic Achieved December 26th 2006|99 Magic Achieved January 20th 2007Jack and Jill went up the hill
January 18, 200719 yr But curses are non-HP - though for mage + HP training, opening with a curse is a good move. Strikes all the way, if you want mage + HP, and you can knock down even Lessers using strikes, if well safespotted. Fire versus Earth? Supporters of earth strikes are right that they use 1 less air, making them cheaper. I craft my own runes, minds are a terrible walk compared to airs, so I go with Fire strike every time, maximizes the damage output per mind rune, and the damage rate by time. I think that actually works well, rune buyers should earth strike, runecrafters should fire strike. Fire is probably also better if you buy minds and run "fast free airs".
January 18, 200719 yr Can someone tell me what is the best/cheapest way to gain up magic on f2p. I want to also gain hp along the way. Well, you have Failed Curses: always 29 magic exp, 0 HP exp, 1 Earth staff + 3 runes, manual cast, always 9.66 magic exp per rune used Fire Strike: average 19 magic exp, average 5.33 HP exp, 1 Fire staff + 3 runes, autocast, average 6.33 magic exp per rune used Earth Strike: average 15 magic exp, average 4 HP exp, 1 Earth staff + 2 runes, autocast, average 7.5 magic exp per rune used Hope this helps
January 18, 200719 yr Well, the ultimate cheapness is to just make the rune yourself, then you have a cash to exp ratio of 0:1. Once you've done that, Fire Strike. Goobore above is right, the Mindcrafting run is annoying as heck, so get the max xp per mind you can. A good tip if you're buying runes is to pray that you're on during an update. When that yellow timer comes on, leg it bank and bring as much money as you can, then run to a rune shop. Grab every rune you can afford, as there's lots and they're cheaper than normal ;) Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA
