I have a portable dvd player but I want to play gamecube on it what do i need to connect my gamecube to it?

I think if thats even possible, you attach the three coloured wires from your gameboy into the port in the dvd player, if it will fit. :XD:

Anyways, what kind of inputs does your portable DVD player have? Mine didn't have any, and if yours is the same way you won't be able to use it. Not to mention you have to somehow power the Gamecube, which will be difficult to work out.

If it has the connection slots for the A/V jacks, just plug them in there and it should work. If not, you'll possibly need an adapter or it might not even be possible.

There are special screens you can buy and attach to your gamecube to play in vehicles and stuff.

what dvd player do you have so that we can see what jacks and inputs/outputs it has?

I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but this is a DVD player which is not plugged into anything, right? It may be impossible, because if you go on a vacation and just bring the portable DVD player and your GC, the GC has no power input..

Yea its A/V in and theres also a slot called A/V out too but it came with a wire to connect it to a tv.

Are the A/V in jacks the same size as the A/V out? If so, the cord that goes from the A/V out should work for the A/V in jack also. The problem here is you will end up with the male A/V connectors, and to connect your Gamecube you will need the female. What you would need would be a cord with the female connector on both sides.

Since you have neglected to say anything about the AV-in port at all (other than that fact it exists) I doubt anyone is going to be able to tell you for sure where you can get a cable for it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Either go down to your local electronics store and ask someone there (take the player with you), or tell us what the port looks like (better yet, give a photo and/or the make+model of DVD player).

It's a standard 1/8th inch jack, like a headphone plug. You need an 1/8th to RCA (red/white/yellow) cable (picture, cable on the right). If your dvd players has the ports, it should have come with one. :? Doing a little digging around, you can find the same cable types for the Zune and iPod (although I don't know if they're compatible).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Taking it into a place like radioshack or BestBuy (tho I doubt the BB drones will know) should give you better luck than the boards here. Printing off the picture of the cable would probably be helpful too. Newegg doesn't sell just the cables as far as I can tell.

Most likely his player came with those cords. What he will need will be a female-female A/V cord, which I don't know if they exist or not. Or he will have to buy an A/V to 1/8th inch cord, with the A/V part being female, and the 1/8th inch being male obviously.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Either way, if that actually does work, power will still be a problem. I don't know anything about power cables.
