Lvl 3 S.O.S at the lvl 59 scorpions... There are 2 safe spots at the exits from the room.

They can't reach you and I did 10k failed curses on the SAME scorpion!

You didn't log out for 10 k curses

I shot Fire Strikes at the Hobgoblins near the Crafting Guild and used that method to get from level 20 to 70 Magic. Just stand inside the cow pin and use magic across the water at the Hobgoblins on the peninsula. Works like a charm. The only thing is the drops are terrible, but experience-wise it's really efficient.

Don't do lessers, not at that magic level. They aren't worth it at all. Go to the crafting guild cows, mage the hobgoblins across the water.

I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

Depends if you care about drops, or about getting better XP (including hitpoints) per shot.

The cross-water spell throwing at the hobgoblins is 100% safe (they can't reach you, and none of them are rangers or mages), but few of their drops would be worth walking round to.

If you try the caged lesser, be sure to take telegrab runes - you wouldn't want to leave a rune med if it did drop, would you?

hobgoblins are probably your best bet...they drop good stuff like limps and laws sometimes..also in varrock dungeon next to mossies are allot of red spiders lvl 32 ..32 i think, theres a peninsula of water separating them so you can att on your safe side and you don't even have to bring tele grab! because you can go on the other side and pick the loots up!...oh..there are no loots. although i think one spider re spawns on your side of the water you can move or finish him off. this place is probably better for rangers because they can pick up there arrows.. another place is also in varrock dungeon which is popular for no good reason, is the zombies wich you can attack from water separating you they dont drop much but if you wana pick up an ocasional fish bait bring some telegrabs. i'v seen a strange ranger telegrabing his precious mith arrows once -.- .thats all for now...oh and lessers are junky on my opinion especially the one behind the cage. because at karajama theres alot more and 3 places to hide.

ps: sorry if you don't have a good imagination enough to picture the places a stated..im dumb i dont know how to take screenies. i do but..im lazy actually.

Seems to me that what you really need is

1) A safe spot

2) Multi combat or a lot of targets

There are lots of places with safe spots:

the crafting peninsula hobgoblins, the caged lesser in the wizzy tower,

Port Sarim jail, white knights in the screen/torture room, caged red monk

under Varrock palace stairs, river ducks, key room in the Varrock sewers, etc.

Multi-combat places include:

Caged lesser in wizzy tower, white knights, sewer key room, etc.

My favorite way to level F2P magic was to do failed Curses from the

key room in the Varrock sewers. You cast across the water at the 4

zombies in the ladder room. It's a multi-combat area so you will almost

always have a target to hit. Also, it's perfectly safe in the key room.

Of course, you could also do Crumble Undead, or any of the Strike (Mind) spells

there as well. Keep in mind that Fire strike (18), Earth strike, etc all give less

exp than failed Curse (29) so it will take many more strike spells to level up.

Hope this helps

...another place is also in varrock dungeon which is popular for no good reason, is the zombies ...

It's popular because it's a multi-combat zone with a safe spot.

That means that you almost always have a target to hit.

That, in turn, means fast, safe training...
