Interesting Article About Radical Muslims

We were supposed to point out the faults of this. Hence the title "when religion goes too far". Including the opression of women, banning of music, not being able to pet dogs, etc.

These laws made sense when and where the religion was founded. Just as not commiting adultery made sense when Christianity was created, to avoid broken families. The condum makes it obselete to wait untill you are married to have sex, just as universal education makes it obselete to oppress women.

Evidence of what? Religions such as Taoism and Buddhism don't require evidence. They are more about spiritual and moral focus. Or, if your not a monk or anything, they can be philosophies to live your life by.

Also, he says what he quote was religion without stupidity. People may find the quotes in there completely disagreeable and thus form their own opinions and even point and call them stupid.

Lets say for a moment, the Word of God is the complete Truth, people still point and call it stupid? So no Religion is Anti-Stupid and can remove the effects thereof.

He was definitely an ultra-extremist muslim, because neither do I know a single muslim who refuses to listen to music, just as a rough example. Just as I don't personally know any christians that live strictly by the bible in an eternal celibate until marriage, refuse to listen to rock or metal music and never done a prank or anything 'unnormal'.

P.S. Yomom, it was clear from the article the organisation funded islamic soldiers in Chechenya. Maybe he didn't know it, but the tax issue itself should've been a clear signal that whatever the organisation is, it ain't funding rainbow and candy research...

I just find it funny what people will do in the name of religion is all. Kill, die, skip things in life, acts like pompous jerks for no reason other than a belief...That kinda' thing.

The evidence on this very Earth points directly to creationism - And not by a deity. Creationism, as-in we were created by our damned selves. By nature. Evolution was an after-effect, and should also be taken as fact, due to the evidence.

Religious people like to tell us non-believers to just "go read the facts" - I ask why do they not do the same? The Bible says nothing about SO MUCH of Earth's history that we KNOW to be fact that it just can't be taken as a credible source of anything other than geographical locations of the middle-east circa 6,000 years ago and up. That's not even a blink of an eye compared to how long we've ACTUALLY been here.

Here's a fun little fact...Some of the same species of dinosaur can be found on different continents. They had NO WAY to get there other than through the Earth being one continent; Pangea. When it started to split, they were stuck there. Now...What does that mean? To logical thinkers and scientists, it means "Holy wow! A lot of scientific work must've went into that to find that out! That's amazing!"...To religious people, it means "God put them there. End of story. Praise God."

...Religious people are boring. The actual Earth's history is way more exciting than God's version of history. Can you imagine the forces our Earth has working inside it that could make and entire continent crumble and split apart? It's happening right now in Africa. It has been for the last 500 million years at 1 inch per year. It's a 182 mile long fault across the top of the Horn of Africa. In millions of years, it will sever Africa into two parts and one island. That's amazing, and it's proof that all of our science DOESN'T go to waste and should always be taken seriously.

Im not religious, nor do I believe in god. I still find customs of people and their strange, nonlogical reasons for motivation interesting.

Why do you go to a religious school?

It was a personal decision to not believe in god. I go to one of the best highschools in the United States. It has excellent teachers and is highly regarded by colleges. Scripture classes are mandatory, however. My parents sent me to this school, and I dont mind learning about the history of the Isralites, or any other religion for that matter. Just because I dont believe doesnt mean I have no tolerance or that I am self centered in my beliefs.

Here's a funny thing. I read this article before you posted it on this thread. I was like...What the Fudge. I didn't really see the point of the article. It is not like people do not know what radical Muslims are. I like how it never addresses that most Muslims are like that (I didn't see it...). O well.

I've actually gone to a private religious school as well, with mandatory participation in religious events. It was extremely educational for me, because it changed my views on religion and opened my mind to new ideas. The only negative part about the religious aspects of my school was sitting through church on uncomfortable chairs. I think if church's invested in Lay-Z Boy Recliners they could get a huge boost in attendence.

I never said you didn't have any tolerance or you are self-centered....I really just burned your school for making you read such a cabbagey article.

I stopped reading at the first sentence. "Before I was an FBI informant."

The FBI is one of the most corrupt and evil institutions in the world, the private police force of the Attorney General, they are responsible in a large part for the corrupt and pointless war on drugs. The war on drugs is just like prohibition of alcohol, there is no way to succeed. Addiction should be treated as a sickness, not a crime. Also, informants suck. Everybody hates a rat, regardless of their affiliation.

Can you imagine what are world would be like without informants...its just plain sad that in these days that some little kid can get shot in any major city in the US and yet "nobody" saw it...its tearing apart the community and its really pathetic...if i saw a little inocent 5 year old get shot while he was playing outside or something, i would definately tell the police what i saw, "all it takes for evil to prevail in this world is for good people to do nothing"...and if there were never any "rats" as you call them in the world our country would be full of criminals that aren't locked up...

Imagine the world without a war on drugs. What if the government tried to help people with substance abuse problems instead of putting them in jail?

Imagine a world without corrupt government institutions, such as the FBI and the CIA which are both unconstitutional and go against the founding principles of our country.

If you inform to a corrupt institution, are you really doing any good?

There's a big difference between being an FBI informant and being a witness in a murder case. The FBI is a corrupt and evil instition, while the police force at least arguably has some benefit in that they sometimes actually help the people, but consider the fact that police imprison more people for casual drug use than violent crime.

You want the truth? You can't handle the truth.

but them helping the terrorists on 9/11...that would never happen

The military gave three accounts of what happened on 9/11. Which one to believe?

The military̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s first story was that no planes were sent up until after the Pentagon was hit. The military leaders were admitting, in other words, that they had left their fighters on the ground for almost 90 minutes after the FAA had first noticed signs of a possible hijacking. That story suggested to many people that a stand-down order had been given.[28]

By the end of the week, the military had put out a second story, saying that it had sent up fighters but that, because the FAA had been very late in notifying it about the hijackings, the fighters arrived in each case arrived too late. One problem with this story is that if FAA personnel had responded so slowly, heads should have rolled, but none did. An even more serious problem is that, even assuming the truth of the late notification times, the military̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s fighters still had time to intercept the hijacked airliners before they were to hit their targets.[29] This second story implied, therefore, that standard procedures had been violated by the military as well as the FAA.

To try to defend the military against this accusation, The 9/11 Commission Report gave us, amazingly, a third version, according to which the FAA, after giving the military insufficient warning about the first hijacked airliner, gave it absolutely no notification of the other three until after they had crashed.

(thanks to http://www.phillyimc.org/en/2005/10/16883.shtml)

You don't even have to do that much thinking. Just use common sense. The pentagons air defense system just shut down accidentally? The FAA failed to call anybody in the military for extended lengths of time?

When these procedures are followed, the FAA, as soon as it sees signs that a plane may have been hijacked, calls military officials, who then call the nearest air force base with fighters on alert, telling it to send up a couple fighters to intercept the plane. Such interceptions usually occur within 10 to 20 minutes after the first signs of trouble. This is a routine procedure, happening about 100 times a year.

I love Islam, I read the Koran and Hadith, and even did some indepth research into it. I don't like how people stereotype Muslims, I just find that so offensive, and so degrading.

I mean, the things that happened to Muslims after 9/11 just shows the sad part about some Americans.

It's not just about 'some Americans,' the Twin Towers are landmarks to the only superpower in the world.

Well, i know for a fact that the pentagon or whoever ordered it, that the plane that eventually crashed in PA to be shot out of the sky...btw, that link of yours doesn't seem to credible...it seems dominated by democrats that hate the president and his whole administration, there was alot of stuff about getting out of iraq and peace marches all over the place. Also, its radio station is named after historic Philly anarchist Voltairine de Cleyre...

I haven't presented a theory other than the one that our government consciously failed to act on 9/11, and in doing so helped the terrorists accomplish their goals. If you had actually read anything I had posted, or any of the article I had linked to, you might know that. Also, you might be able to think of a solid rebuttal instead of just saying "Nobody wants you here.".

Its kind of hard to find out if that flight was actually ordered to be shot down...everyone has a different opinion and says different things, the 9/11 report says that they were preparing to take it out if it threatened washington
