February 6, 200719 yr Ok so most of us know the old, whatever drops uncut gems also drops half keys and left half shields. I have noticed recently that all my half key drops from monsters are loop halves. Now, when the Gnome food minigame was introduced I remember reading somewhere that monsters drop one half and the new minigame provides *most* of the other. Is it just a coincidence that my half keys have been loops or is there some connection? Thanks.
February 6, 200719 yr Monsters that drop half keys drop both kinds (from my past experiences). Loop halves are just more common that teeth.
February 6, 200719 yr Hmm, well I've only ever gotten teeth halves... strange, but I think mosters drop both. "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Instead, we are doing this for the good of the game, which is as dear to our hearts as it is to you."- JAGEX, December 13, 2007
February 6, 200719 yr Yeah, what was said above is correct. They drop both halves, but teeth are more rare. -Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.
February 6, 200719 yr There is no more rare parts. You can get any of them depending of you luck. I know people getting lot's of tooths and people getting lot's of loops. There is no rare. To prove it go check on forums, some days people sell only 1 type, other days people sell only the other type. I also belive this isn't totaly random, there must be some factors making the drops. I don't know what ones. But 1 thing is for sure, there isn't rare type.
February 6, 200719 yr For a while teeth seemed to be rare, and before that I remember loops being bought for more. I'd agree with LJoker on this one. I thought I was mistaken about the rare one. Didn't know that it switches up.
February 6, 200719 yr Author Ok thanks, this can be left to die/locked now. I was just curious into the system of half keys seeing as I have 4 loops now and not a single tooth. Thanks for all your comments.
