Azurechaos
Why use full veracs at Barrows? 1. The prayer bonus lets you use less prayer pots 2. All runes are loot, making you money faster 3. It's faster than using the dart 4. It's more fun! Recommendations before you attempt my method: 1. Have some cash to spend on the things needed (see below) 2. Do these quests: In Search of the Myreque, and In Aid of the Myreque. 3. Have a basic understanding of how not to die. 4. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COMMON SENSE! 5. Try using some cheaper items using my method before using the best stuff. 6. Try this at level 95+. Any lower and you have a higher chance of dying. Now. Here's what your inventory & equipment should look like: Don't worry, I have never died there, so it's okay to take the best stuff possible. Barrows = easy. EQUIPMENT EXPLAINATION & ALTERNATIVES Best -> Okay -> Not Recommended Veracs Helm -> nothing, needed to kill the brothers Veracs Brassard -> nothing, needed to kill the brothers Veracs Skirt -> nothing, needed to kill the brothers Veracs Flail -> nothing, needed to kill the brothers Fury -> Glory -> Unholy symbol (prayer bonus) -> Holy Symbol (prayer bonus) Barrows Gloves -> Dragon Gloves -> Any RFD Glove -> Klanks Rune Boots -> Climbing Boots Now here I have a Ring of Life. Berserker Ring is better, so use that if you can. INVENTORY EXPLAINATION & ALTERNATIVES Best -> Okay -> Not Recommended Whip (for killing Karil) -> Dragon Scimitar Crystal Shield (for best range defence while killing Karil) -> Dragon Shield -> Obsidian Shield Dragon Dagger (for killing Ahrim &/or Karil) -> nothing Prayer Potion(4) x2 -> Super Restore(4) (too expensive) Super Set -> Combat Potion & Defence Potion (for lvls 110+, but Super Set is still better) Monkfish (95+ Combat) -> Sharks (95 or below) Home Teleport Tablets -> Ectophial -> Elf Crystal(3) Spade -> NOTHING! Getting to Barrows. (Pic thanks to Tip.It) Now, once you're there, these are the mounds: (thanks to tip.it) DHAROK - MELEE To start off, stand on top of Dharoks Tomb. Before you dig, check and see if your prayer is full. If not, pot up, if yes, then proceed to use Super Set. Once you've Setted, dig. Put on Melee Protection Prayer. Click his tomb. If he shows up, attack him. MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS HAVE PRAYER LEFT, ESPECIALLY WHEN HE GETS LOW!!! After you kill him, exit the tomb. VERAC - MELEE Once up, run over to Veracs tomb. Dig and click the tomb. DO NOT PRAY, HE HITS THROUGH IT. Attack him and eat when needed. once he's dead, exit the tomb. KARIL - RANGE Once out of the tomb, equip your Whip & Crystal Shield. Run over to Karils tomb and dig. Click on his tomb. DO NOT PRAY. This is why you have a Crystal Shield. Attack him and he should die fast. Eat when needed. Once he's dead, exit the tomb. GUTHAN - MELEE After you are above ground, proceed to Guthans spot. Dig into his mound. Click on his tomb once you're in there, and attack him. DO NOT PRAY. He's the easiest to kill. Eat if needed. Once he's dead, exit the tomb. TORAG - MELEE Find Torags mound and dig in. Click on his tomb. If he shows up, kill him. He can get some lucky hits once in a while, so watch out. Eat when needed. Once he's dead, exit the tomb. AHRIM - MAGE Now, for Ahrim. Since you're wearing armor, he can be kinda tricky. This is how I kill him: Stand on his mound and make sure you have about 20 prayer left. If not, take a sip of your potion. Once you do, equip your DDS. No shield. Dig in. TURN ON MAGE PROTECTION. Click his mound. If he's there, DDS spec him all 4 times. Then switch to your Flail and beat him with it. If he's not dead by the time your prayer runs out, then don't take another sip. Just unequip your Veracs and switch to a whip. Eat if/when needed. Once you kill them, and get to the tunnel, here's the overview of the tunnel: (thanks to Tip.It again... I love those guys. :)) Get to the chest, and if you haven't already, kill your tunnel brother using the methods described above. REMEMBER WHERE YOUR LADDER WAS!!!! DO NOT TELLY OUT, unless you haven't done In Aid of the Myreque. BUT I RECOMMEND YOU DO!!! GOING FOR ANOTHER ROUND. After you finish the tunnel, run to your ladder, then exit. Exit the tomb and walk to the bank in Burgh De Rott. To save money, but waste time, fish your own sharks here. Reset your equipment. Now, once you have done a round of Barrows, and are at the bank, DO NOT DRINK PRAYER POTION! Walk to Dharoks tomb, and dig in without setting or drinking prayer potions. Click on his tomb to see if he's there. If so, exit IMMEDIATLY. Stand on his tomb, if he was there, and drink 2 sips of Prayer Potion. Then Set Up. Kill Dharok, then proceed as described above. Hope you enjoyed my guide. ranging_beast
Pretty nice guide. However, I personally think that bringing range armor, just a Karil Top and a Crystal Bow, Karil Crossbow with a decent amount of racks, or even MSB with some rune arrow is better then wasting 1 dose of prayer potion. Verac Skirt itself is a very nice piece of armor, so no need for Karil Skirt IMO. Even black hide body ranging is better then melee him at lower level. Less time wasted on Ahrim, less chance you need to redose if lower then about 85 flat melee stat. Ranged Crave I'M SO EMO HAHAHAHAHAHA
BoD
just some other ideas i verac barrow and i am lvl 94 using the exact same item thats you are wearing. however for sake of p pots, i bring black d hide + bow for ahrim and slayer dart for dharok + verac(on occassion since he hits through prayer) these are just some tweaks in you system it is alot faster but not as much profit i guess i also use lobbies instead of monks and do pretty good i also dont bring super sets since they are kinda pricy  O and awesome guide lost rights to my dark red text >:( 12/20/06 - QUEST CAPE OF ACHIEVEMENTBarrows sets: guthan, verac, dharok, maybe ahrim eventually <- lost to a hacker whole stole everything of worth from my bank

I wasn't aware that he hit through prayer either. bobbaldrick
I agree I used to always mage karil and range ahrim, but melee with dds specs and whip is much faster when you hit around combat 100 especially with super set or combat pot
Ryokobalta
I believe Dharok hitting through prayer was a bug when they first changed Verac to hit through, as i have also experienced dharok hitting a 56 on me while i was melee praying within the same week they changed Verac. Owned_Nex
ok, but unless you combat over 100, this is almost impossible. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. Pyrex
You might want to add a part to if someone has an altar and kharyll teleportal in their house, it might be better to home tele to save pray pots. Very good guide and to the guy saying this is impossible, it is nowhere near impossible. RetiredEx-E174Ex-Venqeance[Ex-Tha Familia3]

Very good guide and to the guy saying this is impossible, it is nowhere near impossible. Yeah, that's what some people do, but I find it's worth saving some time to just take a sip of prayer pots. The minds alone from a single run could pay for the 2 doses. :) And I agree. Not only is it very possible at 90+ it's effective. 99 Firemaking | 99 Mage | 99 Range | 99 Hitpoints | 99 Strength | 99 Attack

simotzki
Great guide. I just got one thing to add, obby shield is better than d square with karil, because obby has a bonus of 65 with defense from ranged, and dragon sq has 50.
hellbellz
Good guide. There's one thing, you can easily use monkfish at combat 80. I started barrowing at 85, and I used monks, I was fine.

yakkun
So, 'z00r. Where's the credit for me teaching you this method? You tweaked the order of brothers a little, along with range-melee on ahrim, but it's identical otherwise. P.S. Ever tried the msb with rune arrows on ahrim? It's insanely fast. The hunters crossbow with long bolts is good too. The Zebera is getting faster!
