Farm your own herbs or kill banshees or chaos druids for them. Buy secondary ingredients.

Farming is definitely a good idea, if you can farm ranarrs you can just buy the seeds for them and make a profit selling p pots.

Ranarr's are 20k each, if you want them cheap but in low amounts, and 25k each if you want them in big amounts. Now either way you buy them you will always make money, unless you fail to grow them by killing them. See from 1 ranarr seed you get around 7 ranarr weeds, 1 ranarr weed is 7k each, total of 49k or 24k-29k profit per seed.

Last time I checked they were around 20k each, and since you get an avarage of about 5-6 ranarrs per seed (with magic secateurs, not sure what happens without them) that's an ok profit. Not much but you do get the farming and herblore exp with it.

if i bought 1 ranaar seed for 20k, got 5 weeds out of it, made them into pray pots and sold them for 7k ea. thats 35k, so a total for 15k profit from one seed.

You will easily get more than 5 ranarrs per seed. With Magic Secateurs, you get an easy 6-7 ranarrs per seed. Stock up on laws before you start farming, I recommend W66 Fast Free Laws. Then tele to all your patches. You should be able to get roughly 50-55 ranarrs per day if you manage 2 runs to each patch.

what are magic secateurs?

They are obtained as a reward from the quest "Fairy Tale Part 1 - Growing Pains" Check, I'm not sure if you have all the levels required, but you might.

The reward are these Magic Secatuers, that will give an extra 10% harvest on your crops and it comes in very handy.

It is the reward from quest Fairy tale part 1. Wield it when farming, and increase the yield from allotments and herb patches.

Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

Either kill Chaos Druids for herbs or do Sorceress' Garden and collect, you get some decent herbs and farming xp
