Well, to be honest, I, personally, would rather you just said 'god did it' as using science to try and prove an obviously supernatural account (admittedly so, according to the bible) is kind of mocking science to me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sorry if you think I'm attcking you here, but it could not happen without supernatural intervention because there is simply not enough water on the planet. As a sidenote, if the flood was true to the Christian story, there would kind of be no such thing as freshwater lakes.

As far as being blown up by a radical...thanks for outlook, my best friend died that way 6 weeks ago in just that manner, I have spent years in the middle east, over the last 21 years of my military service........point is, don't talk about what you know nothing about. personally, i feel that blaming religion as the major cause of war is a very silly argument. people like that usually wish that they could remove religion as a whole so none of this would exist in the future. there are several things wrong with that, and i will tell my reasoning through a very simple analogy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

when you look at alcohol, it is one of the leading causes of death, and could quite possibly be the leading cause of vehicle accidents (i said possibly because i didn't look it up, but it's a safe thing to assume imo). should we remove it from existence because of all of this? well let's take a look at history. the united states tried removing it from their country (2 times in fact), and both times it resulted in problems far worse than when it was legal. crime rose exponentially (all caused by people who take advantage of certain occurrences; in this case it was namely mobsters), people brewed it illegally, people would binge drink much more b/c it was rarer to come in contact with it than before (which IMO is more dangerous than more drinking over a spread out time. sure the amount of alcohol consumption went down, but the amount of drinking in short periods of time rose exponentially), more domestic violence occurred because of this increase in binge drinking, and people's civil rights were violated in a much similar fashion as jagex banning people (paranoia of alcohol in people's homes). all in all, things were far worse off than before....thus the prohibition amendment was amended with the 21st amendment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

that being said, it is therefore not better to remove it from existence, especially when it is already here. it would cause more harm than good.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so just because something like religion is a component to war (and is nothing close to a reason for it), it does not mean it'd be beneficial to remove it from existence...and when it is removed (from this earth) i and no one else typing here will be here. not only that, but people are always insecure about stuff and need to find things wrong in things or find faults, resulting in more disputes and more wars. there will always be things that people argue over...very petty things at that.

Noahs ark and that whole deal. I'd like to ask some of the theists out there a few questions, as my knowlege on the issue is severely lacking. Note that I want answers based on what the Christain religion and the Bible says.

Look at the Greeks, they had Pandora's Box and Zeus had to create a world-wide flood due to the evils that Pandora released. Anyway, there are a ton of myth about a world-wide flood. True, I agree that Christians killed thousands upon religion but that was hundreds of years ago. Lots of Christians believed that back then, anybody who rejects their religion or will not become a Christian would be killed or imprisoned. Look at what the Spanish did to Montezuma when he thought his Aztec gods was like God.

You are just a worthless subject of media representation. Islamic people don't blow people up, tiny fractions do. Which is exactly the same for christianity where tiny fractions kill people in the name of their religion. Perhaps they don't crash planes into buildings but throughout history christians have murdered thousands upon thousands of people. True, I agree that Christians killed thousands upon religion but that was hundreds of years ago. Lots of Christians believed that back then, anybody who rejects their religion or will not become a Christian would be killed or imprisoned. Look at what the Spanish did to Montezuma when he thought his Aztec gods was like God.

Obviously not, let me help you out...the government in the US has absolutely Zero control of the media, if we had rampaging mobs of christians killing non christians as you imply, it would be on the front page of every paper in the states and on every news channel. Not happening, if we had control of the press (wish we could, they do more damage then good) do you think the world would have known about President Clinton and monica lowinsky?... NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING is sacred or hidden in the usa it seems, every little bit of dirt or percieved dirt is splashed all over the media, unlike most other countries who can control their media. last time i checked the christian world as i know it in the US and most of europe arent exactly threats to society. niether are muslims. all i said was that instead of picking on christianity ALL the time, try islam for once, after all, then youll have several COUNTRIES hating you instead of different churches. what was meant by it is pick on someone your own size, not someone who is just trying to get by without treading on to many people toes.
