Did miniclip destroy RuneScape P2P?

Well, i'm one of those who met the game through Miniclip and don't think i'm destroying the game. Maybe Miniclip made younger players start playing and as they are more inmature (cause of their age), they start turning RS into a childishgame what could make the game not so good for more mature ppl.

Jagex are company out to make money and profit, at the end of the day, thats what it boils down to. I think they advertised on miniclip as it would provide a larger audience, much like the german servers (personaly, i dont see many players on them) and in turn would provide jagex with more cash, which then improves the game for the rest of us so no, i wouldn't say miniclip ruined rs.

Now, I am the only one out of about 30 who still play it properly. Its now called "sad", by the people who used to play it themselves.

 

 

 

A few of my friends joined and now when I tell them,"Yeah I started to play Runescape again," they decide to laugh and tell me how dumb it is.

 

 

 

 

 

On-topic: I don't really think Miniclip destroyed Runescape, since that's probably where Jagex got a lot of it's money. It destroyed the community of the game, but helped the game itself stay alive.

How can you blame just miniclip for this? Are you saying that all miniclip users are juvenile, or....? You really have you point here :?

First, how do you blame MiniClip? Is it their fault if someone's annoying? I found RuneScape through MiniClip. It'd be the same as Googleing it. There are many people on MiniClip who aren't annoying.

 

 

 

Second, how do you know they're coming from MiniClip? Where do you get your information? You can't honestly say you know where everyone found the game.

I didn't read through the whole thread so this may have been posted already but anyway, did it destroy the game? obviously not there's over 1 mil members. Did it bring annoying kids into the game most definitely. Any publicity is good publicity though, god knows the amount of members that came from mini-clip. More members means more money which means more updates. So for gameplay and being annoyed yes it definitely affected RS but for Jagex it made them millions.
