Did miniclip destroy RuneScape P2P?

People...don't worry. They'll go away. About 2 years ago this kid found miniclip at our school. Introduced us all to it. Now, about 4 people in the whole school play. Natural selection ftw. The smart ones survived. (and the ones that mooched off of us, and still do. -.- )

Blame JaGEx then. They're the ones who are directing this game at younger players.

Miniclip just so happened to spread Runescape to many different sorts of players. It's not necessarily Miniclip's fault. Actually, it could be Club Penguin's fault. Too many kids under 10 player that game..

I agree. Jagex is the only group we can blame here. They're the Idiots who deided to affiliate with that site. : <.<

They need to make a series of worlds that only level 90/100+ can enter to get us away from the drones of "whats my combat level?"

i pormis u thers alot of noobish plaer whit thos lvls... dont juge player by lvls but an age world wolld be good tho.. but i dont see how that wold woork they just say theyr older than they realy are..

Like yourself. You appear to have a good account but can't use proper grammar to save yourself.

I hate it when people have a go at other people for their grammar/spelling, if you can understand it what does it matter? Sure it looks neater if its typed using proper grammar, but theres no need to quote a post and bring it back up as a way of refuting someones point

I heard from some friends, when miniclip put runescape on their site, that it was going to be the apocalypse! I payed very little attention to it... as a few others have said, I blame Jagex, not miniclip

quite a while later, I found a game I liked, on miniclip, and signed up for their forums... and the sections I browse on there are much better than the official runescape forums :P ... even the runescape section there is probably a bit 'nicer' than some of the places on the official forums

It seems that every time I am walking through the rock crabs to get to Keldagrim that they are more crowded with level 25s and downwards.

These low levels are, well - totally obnoxious. I blame Miniclip's affiliation with Jagex.

Does anyone feel the same way?

I guess so.... But that's what advertising is for....... To get more players.

Stop lying to yourself guys...miniclip did NOT destroy runescape.

OFF TOPIC:While I'm on the subject of ppl lying to themselves...

1.rares do not destroy the economy

2.destorying/hi-alcing rares doesnt help the prices of itmes

3.hi-alc actually ruins the market.

Sorry about that  . It's just people who are obsessed with pures (it seems almost everyone has 2 or 3 <.< )

1) Miniclip did not destroy P2P. The VAST majority (at least 90%) of people who discover RuneScape through miniclip will try it for an hour or so and quit. Miniclip is a site designed for you lunch breaks, a distraction. Nothing more.

2) Of course those at the rock crabs acted immature. They're pures. In general, pures seem to have an unexplainable belief that they are better than you, and they somehow deserve your items, your skills, your time. Those at the Rock Crabs may have found RS through MiniClip, but it was probably quite some time ago.

3) New miniclip players train their combat on the level 5 goblins. You won't find them at the rock crabs.

4) I found RS through Miniclip, and I like to think that I've been a welcome addition to the community.

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

I came from miniclip

It's Jagex's fault, they keep saying this game's for 13+ year olds but they make it more childish (a penguin agility course, look at the emote screen)

Lamest attempt at a lure ever.
No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed.

You Sir, are a genius. Way to use your brain. We need more (intellegent, uses common sense) people like you.

Miniclip didn't do anything, they advertised, so what. The people are ignorant. Miniclip, google, friends, tv, however they found runescape, ignorance.

I can't even stand f2p any more... I used to merchant willows in draynor f2p... I stand there for 15 minutes, and I get like 3 people standing outside the bank saying "its geting hot in heer so taek of all ur clohtes!"

That happens for 10 minutes, and then I get someone saying "can i hav sum wilows?"

Then I get someone saying "wats that weapon?" Me: "its called a d scimmy." The noob: "Can i hav 1?"

Then "fre muny plz"

Then "sum1 got my person and put all his lvs at 1 and tok al my mony can i hav sum stuf?"

If it weren't for p2p, I wouldn't be playing.

Like it or lump it, these players are giving Jagex money and that's good for us.

So yes, they have their bad points but they also contribute to the community. Everybody started off at a low level remember, nothing stopping them becoming great players.

Well said.
