Requiem for a Dream

I just saw that movie last night. Probably one of the most uncensored and disturbing movie ever made. Anyone else ever seen it?

Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

It's not nearly the most "uncensored and disturbing" movie I've ever seen, it's basically just showing how screwed up your life can be by getting addicted to drugs. It's definitely an awesome movie, probably one of my favourites.

Yea, great isn't it. One of the best movies ever made, in my eyes of course. ;)

Its a good film but certainly not the most uncensored and disturbing films. Ask Daan about Salo ^_^

Yea, Salo is probably up there with the most uncensored and disturbing movies ever made.

As for Requim for a dream; I find it slightly on the sad side more than anything else.

The movie's a lot more disturbing if you have friends like I have.

Salo almost made me sick.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Yeah, I agree that it's more sad than visually disturbing. Although it has some freaky scenes. Like when Sarah is hallucinating those people coming out of the tv, and the refrigerator coming to life. :[

It's also one of the very very few realistic movies I've seen. Not much sugar coating there. I love these kind of movies, they're like a breath of fresh air. Or like a slap in the face. Either way, it's invigorating :D
