February 24, 200719 yr For real seriously that is a lot of money for one chain body that is just slighty better than rune, so is it worth it?
February 24, 200719 yr Every single point are helpful. They are expencive, yes, but you can sell it away, so it's really just whether you can afford it or not. I mean, who would use a rune plate if d chain was 100k? RetiredEx-E174Ex-Venqeance[Ex-Tha Familia3]
February 24, 200719 yr i agree with the original poster, its a lot of money just for a chain, its not even plate, its just a chain, the prices can drop to at least 5 mil in my opinion ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

February 24, 200719 yr Stat wise, no it's not worth 15m. But people don't buy it for the stats... they wanna look good and show off that they have/had a lot of cash. The same reason rich people buy expensive fast cars... speed limit still applies lol, so they can't go any faster, but they want you to KNOW they're better than you. Same principle ;)

To make it easier, you need a team of 2 or 3 and then the split would become way too low. And dust devil's drop rate is way low. The thing is : Rune platebody can be bought from Oziach. Dragon chainbody is a RARE drop. If d chain was 5mil, a team of 2 would at KQ each get 2.5mil, but they would probably already have spent more than that to get a chain. February 24, 200719 yr D chains used to be 30 mil :/ http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=525348 - My Pking Gallery I'M BACK FOR SUMMER BABY

Anyway, back on topic, they do actually look better than the others, well, thats my opinion anyway I'll shut up now http://custom.leetscape.com/sig/63/70/combat.png[/img]You just won the award for "The Most niave person on the Tip.it Boards!"]*Points towards the monkey sitting on the button and declining every query*Help me No.

February 24, 200719 yr That's why those things are so expensive. THEY ARE RARE. The stats don't matter, it's hard to obtain, thus it is expensive. Supply and demand. A low supply, higher price. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
February 24, 200719 yr pyrex summed it up pretty well, it is much harder to get a d chain then a rune plate. Anyone can mine ess or pick flax for an hour or so and make enough to buy a plate. To get a d chain you either have to a)-get 65 slayer -start dt -kill thousands of dust devils and hope you have a chance to get a chain B)-get a very organized team, or pair of 100+ -spend tons of cash on supplies -kill the queen over and over and.... -hope you get lucky both or these methods consume a lot of time and recourses, and still involve luck. If d chains were only 5 mil. then i probably wouldn't have spent so much time in the smoke dungeon. :notalk:
February 24, 200719 yr Here's a small analogy. A wise scientist once said, "Increasing vision is increasingly expensive." His reason for this statement was: For a thousand dollars, you can get a standard light microscope. This can visualize individual skin cells, requires almost no resources to use, and can be held in the palm of a hand. This is your rune armor; it's relatively cheap, and good at its job. For a couple million dollars, you can get an electron micrograph. This can visualize the stuff inside the cell. It's a little bit better, but requires special training, is the size of a car, and requires enormous resources to get and maintain. This is your dragon armor; it's there, but extremely expensive. For fun, let's go one step further. For a hundred million dollars, you can get an X-ray crystalography machine. This can find the molecules inside the cell organelles, but it's the size of a gymnasium, requires massive amounts of resources, and an enormous computer to interpret the results. This is your Third Age armor; it's awesome, but prohibitively expensive. Tell me if this analogy is good or not. I try. :|

February 24, 200719 yr You'd be mugged for the parts :D Also, it's several dozen tons, so you'd have to have an 18-wheeler.
