tripsis
I'd recommend getting your combat level to above 40, maybe even 45+ to be on the safe side. You could probably give it a go, but you'd have to be pretty lucky, I'd think. Justthefr00b
I suggest you get your mage level up to 25 just incase you might have to teleport out of there =P. Also remember to bury your bones to get that prayer level up, just in case worst things come to worst and you end up dying, you can use Protect Item at... level 25 if I remember correctly. But yeah, I agree with tripsis, you should probably get your combat level to about 40, 45+ or so. I did Dragon Slayer at like... level 54 xD so I didn't have any trouble, but at a higher level than you are at the moment then Elvarg should go down without a big hissi fit. ROSA PARKS HAS JUST BEEN HIT BY A PIECE OF CHICKENRetired until further notice since quite frankly RuneScape has been boring me and it's not getting any better and WoW happened. LJoker
just get 17 mage (or 25 if your on the safe side) and wild bolt it. wear blue mage top and your best ranging chaps and vampsIf your intention is to kill the dragon at distance, I never tryied it but probabily works if you don't forget the anti-dragon shield and lot's of food. I've killed him with 40 attack, 33 strenght, 33 defence.
Haddman
Mageing him is horrible idea, i saw that once and the dragon almost didn't lose any hp and he was always hitting the mage so he ended up teleporting away
djp2rr
I killed Elvarg at lvl 40 with pretty much the same inv as you, but only had 1 hp left when I finished, so get that combat lvl up a bit first.
barnstormers
I would get 30 stregnth if i were you. Then get combat lv 40-45. Then just to be safe you should get you def up a little bit. Thanks to Hardwick246 for the sig

pikapal17
i beat him at 50 combat but the best thing i would use if your p2p is anti fire potion with your shield. im not crazy everyone else is!!! unless im wrong if you give a noob a muffin he will probaly ask for another and butter scammees always believe the scammer nothing you can do
PhelimReagh
Dragons have high magick defense, so I do not think that is an advisable path. My friend at combat level 59 just did it: full rune (with chain, anti-dragon shield and rune scimmy), super attack and strength potion, anti-fire potion, and hacked away, having to eat about 8 swordies along the way. That dragon ain't all that easy. If you can bulk up, I would so advise.
maximu160490
i used fire strike. not sure on combat level...
kirbybeam
eh, I just tried killing the lesser demon which drops the map piece... couldn't even hit #-o I'll get 40atk (to use my rune scimmy) and 40str, and then I'll give it a go.
rise
If you are members i would buy a superset and use a full inventory of sharks as food. Dont forget a way to tele out after the fight like a ring of dueling or teletab. I dont have a sig anymore =[But I did manage to get every skill in the highscores

Zaaps1
I'd recommend getting your combat level to above 40, maybe even 45+ to be on the safe side. You could probably give it a go, but you'd have to be pretty lucky, I'd think. Don't forget your anti-fire breath shield! \ I learned that the hard way -.- I agree with what has already been said; level up a bit more, namely defense. If you are ranging it, remember to bring a crossbow and bolts. Don't use a 2H, and lastly; bring teleport runes if it comes to the worst (No food 1/4 of hp left) ~It's Super Effective! Doomster
To be a "Rune Pure", you need to get defence to a maximum of 33-34 (for 40 after the quest) so that route would be full addy with ant-ifire. 40 Attack, Rune weapon, I'd say would be pretty much essential. I'd sacrifice a little food to carry tele runes, or the 1-space Skull Sceptre, if you can get the 3rd and 4th level pieces for that though, you probably won't need to use it! - though a low level can get them eventually, one Ankou or Catablepon at a time. If you like range, 40 and green dragonhide vambraces would be a plus.
A107
I got the map pieces at 37 attack, 47 strength, and 7 defense (don't remember hp lvl). I tried killing the dragon with those stats, I didn't even get him to half health. I came back with 40 attack, 47 strength, and 30 defense, and owned him (only used 7 bass, no protect prayers or pots). Rec. Equipment- Full adamant, rune battleaxe or scimitar, amulet of strength or power, 25 lobsters, and of course the Anti-Dragonbreath shield. Have fun! Hi. goldphishies
I doubt you'd be able to beat Elvarg, your stats just aren't high enough. Get around 48-49 combat, then try. I beat him at level 49 and had a tough time with it.
