so, to start it off, i am 83 fletching and 71 magic at the start of this thread. i am not member yet, but i will be within the next week or two. please refer to the bottom section for information on magic bows and alching.

i have figured out that it would take 3,893 yew longs to get to 85 fletching. i wouldn't alch these, i would just sell. so now, i have 85 FLETCHING, and 10,500,000 GP. magic longbows high alchemy for 1536 gp, according to tip.it. this being said, i can buy magic logs[1k], bow strings[190-200gp], and natures[300-330 gp] for, AT THE HIGHEST, 1530 gp. this means that at worst, i am making 6 gp a bow. at best, i am making 146 gp PER BOW!

To the author: Good luck, it'll take a while. However pehaps its worth checking into high alching? It wouldn't be much, if any more then 110 k alchs for 94.

If you get 99 fletching using (U) yew longs and string, you'll need to make about 150k longs anyway, so you'd be better off just alching what you make. :

thanks for the posts guys, and i will look into alching the bows i make. the reason i was going to do curse was because i AM poor. i used to have a santa and 12million, but i lost it, and now i have made back 10.... . :cry:

It's a lot more fun, and about as profitable to alch from 71-94 mage. And fletching will be a snap.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've alched from 55-88 mage, and it's a lot easier than cursing 240k times, and you get to keep your sanity :)

buy about 1k mages (around 1.1mil) and 1k bs (200k) and 1k nats (330k) thats only 1.63mil. make 1k mage longs (u) and alch at 3.8k ea. thats 3.8 mil! you will make money doing this instead of losing it!

You are right on. The only problem is that Magic logs can be somewhat hard to buy.

Good luck on 99 fletch and 94 mage. I also have both of those goals in addition to my 91 RC goal. You didn't mention what you'll be doing while alching for extra profit. I personally mine runite at the heros guild but if you don't want to get 20 extra mining lvls, you could do something like buy runes at the magic guild or hang out in a crowded bank looking for good deals.
