RuneScape Information

  1. I could be wrong, but it appears that Jagex has readjusted some prices, and has a thread up to work on finding slightly more "Balanced" pricing... Now, I'm no accountant, but I'd say that while Jagex is slow, they aren't ignorant, they know there is a problem with the way the market is...they just haven't found a solution... I hate inflation as much as the next guy. (Well except when Iron went up to obscene prices and I had 100k worth of it before hand) But I don't see anything we can do about it except roll with the system until a solution is found....
  2. More likely, an expansion on this dungeon....as Thok said, "There are more then Demons in here" I'd say we'll have more levels in this dungeon.... On the subject of skill or minigame....It's too early to tell....I've played at every chance I could, getting impressive token rewards, and I still have yet to get any sort of reward, it's too early to tell what sort of "effect" dungeoneering will have on say....PVP, or any other aspect.... I like this bonecrusher thing, free exp whenever I go fire-giant hunting! =) --Wachiru
  3. Might It be possible to merely pull the images from Jagex's Knowledge base? Or is that legal? Barring that, I'll work on uploading my rather massive collection of pictures... --Wachiru
  4. No, the "so-called" rules of PKing are a unspoken code amongst the so called hardcore (I prefer to call them three year olds) Who think everyone has to play by those rules... I could be wrong, but your average Player-killer tends ato average around thirteen years of age, In my experience, and talking to the local Highschool counselor Teenagers have an imminent sense of justice and "fairness" Naturally there will be whining about how you own them.... I agree though, PKers are naturally irritating.
  5. On the topic at hand...I, and a number of my colleagues in the former Order of the Holy Hand Grenade. (OOTHHG) Have had this piece of wisdom tucked away in the ten plus years we've been together...Runescape Official Forums are a breeding ground for leetspeak, immaturity and flaming. The reason the mods never do anything about it is because, they are part of the same, immature cliche. (In my personal opinion) I agree that they get massively out of hand oftentimes, many times due to six year old flamers who tend to try and get the "Look at me!!! I'm *censored*!!!!" (Note I intentionally inserted the censor) On the other hand, they aren't a TOTAL failure, I have had some positives in my slogging through the sea of chatspeak...Unfortunately I remember none of them... Happy debating! --Wachiru
  6. No, the difference is, we have semi-responsible gents who actually "Think" about what they say before they say it... On topic...The update has been quite interesting, as in getting 55-almost 70 hunting in a day, but it's not the sort of thing I want to do forever... On the topic of Altars, I wasn't aware they were disabled... On the topic of optional weekend, They would never go for that, it would defeat their "sinister" purposes. On the topic of Milk, Carrot Cake and Stewed Cabbage, All three are delicious. Overall, One BEXPWE per quarter= fine, One every two weeks = fail. BEXPWE = Bonus Experience Weekend WSO = Wachiru Signing out... --Wachiru

    Familiarisation

Trix, I do not believe that was his point. I do not understand why it is so "irritating", It's not like it says, "Cor Blimey! (Insert user name here) Quit botherin' Me an' Come back tomorrow see? Noob!" It merely makes a suggestion. I'm not saying they shouldn't fix it, but yet again, you gents, (And ladies?) Need to learn how to RELAX...Basically, the way you start that is to not let every little thing faze you. Perhaps this is merely an old chap's reminiscing, but all the same, I think it could be applied... --Wachiru
  8. To my honorable comrade Wales, My apologies if I offended. Continuing the debate, the change was NOT necessary. But I do see where they are coming from, I find it interesting that after Seven? *Thinks back to when he first started* Maybe Eight years ago, we al had these pretty blue hitsplats with a big fat zero and....Oh my goodness! People Played! So on that side, the update was not necessary. Personally, I don't see why someone who's going to cry about all the misses should have any urge to try a grinding game in the first place. (And do be realistic, the whole game is a blasted grind.) Frankly, maturity is everything. On the other hand, It might be, (to a child) more exciting to hit a thirty-two as compared to a...three. I personally noticed when I logged in that morning to train on SOS spiders, (as is my custom) that I had just hit a 42, Being a fool and failing to read the update, I was ecstatic. Then, I noticed the evident lack of red on the spiders health bar...All the same I was EXCITED!! I suppose if we are debating for the sake of the debate, I side with the "We did not need it's" But I am not ready to say it is a bad thing... --Wachiru.
  9. I suppose this brings us back to the old wound...The original wild... Don't get me wrong, I loved old skool player killing, it added something to my day...I remember going around on one of my 126 characters and doing nothing but killing everything in sight...BUT! I hated bots... I hated bots... I HATED BOTS! Basically, if we lived in a perfect world, I would be all for this Idea, but...we don't...somewhere, in a large warehouse in Korea, there is an evil Sweatshop Overlord waiting for Jagex to weaken, and allow more freedom. And I loathe the day, we ever see the bald greenshirts again take our lands... Wachiru
  10. First off, the schooolteacher side of me, it's spelled "Immature" On the topic at hand, frankly we could have done without it, but I suppose if it's going to help engage new players....Hopefully we'll get a few smart ones... On the subject of the quote above...Frankly, being insulted by another person flaming you, and as a result flaming them back by stabbing at their maturity and intelligence is...Immature. This leads to a question concerning this... If this is true...why the stab back? Just let it go. I understand both viewpoints concerning the update, and even the above scuffle. Keep in mind that no matter what you think, you should never undermine another, unless they are wrong to the point of being an utter detriment to society. In this case we are talking about a game. This is a foolish arena to demonstrate our maturity or lack thereof. Merely Stating My Opinion (MYMSO) --Wachiru ----------------------------------------- The Spear in the Other's Heart is the Spear in Your Own... You Are He... --Surak Surak: A fictional Character who had some very down to earth Ideas.
  11. Based on my limited pure training, it's a toss up, you *do* have more competition at varrock. But you also have the irritants known as Revs at the Wild loc. As to the guide, It's a straghtforward topic, straightforward technique...I like it.
  12. I believe this covers my comprehension of the term and in response to my dear friend Dirkmetal.. I merely pointed out the official definition of dead and suggested an altered term for "Dead to them" Such as perhaps, boring, non-essential, notepads, or Chuck Norris. I do wish your generalizations had more foundation. Cheers. Wachiru.
  13. Really it depends...If it's pure on pure, the triangle is accurate. But against cross trainers (Me) the outcome is fairly random. I would give you a two paragraph essay on the topic, but I regrettably must retire to the slave pits known as "Office Cubicles"
  14. I might respectfully point out that your terminology is vaguely flawed. Perhaps to you the term "Dead" means not longer fun. But according to our dear friend Webster.. 1. No longer living; deprived of life: dead people; dead flowers; dead animals. 2. Brain-dead. 3. Not endowed with life; inanimate: Now, by definition the game cannot be dead according to definition one...It never had life to begin with. In a similar context, it never had a brain therefore it cannot be brain-dead. (Which is not necessarily true for it's developers) *chuckles* BUT it is dead due to definition three, it is *inanimate!* And so, the ever repeating cycle continues, as it has since conception, Jagex improves, some like some dislike, many leave, more join. And hate is thrown. and in the end... It doesn't matter... --Wachiru
