ArtCrazy
This is a guide I spent all this afternoon making about the Mag Training Arena. It explains each of the game plus how to get there and a list of the prizes. Once someone has a full list of the stats of the stuff, I'll be happy to add it in, just contact me please. I'd also like if someone mapped the various mini-game rooms, plus the main building itself so I could add it. Criticism appreciated, so I can make my work better, but please NO flames! Mage Training Arena Guide Introduction Welcome to the Mage Training Arena! Due to many wizards causing accidents all over Runescape, the Wizard Tower decided to reopen the Mage Training Arena, wich has, long time ago, been struck down by all Meleers and Rangers. This is a place where you can train your magic, while doing fun activities. In the end, if you work hard, you might just be lucky to get a set of the new Infinity robes, wich require 50 Magic and 20 Defence to use them, or the wands and the new spell. (They will be shown later on) How to get there Just head off to the duel arena in al karid, and then go behind the house where the bank and altar are. You should find the Magic Training Arena in there. The map will explain it better. Just go to where the text "Mage Training Arena" is. When you get there, you can talk to the Stone guardian (image above) to get a Progress hat (image below) who keeps a record of your Pizazz points and when you talk to it, it will tell you how many you have. It also changes color according to your points. He'll also explain you a summary of the 4 mini-games and tell you about the instructions manual that you can buy from the rewards guardian upstairs for 200gp. You do not have to read it but I advise you to do it. Mini-Games There are 4 different mini-games, the Telekinetic Theatre, that bases on telekinetic grab, the Alchemist Playground, that bases on the alchemy spells, the Enchanting Chamber, thatbases on enchanting spells of any level of jewelry (the better it is the highest the XP), and the Creature Graveyards, that bases on bone transform spells (bones to bananas, that requires level 15 magic and the new bones to peaches, that requires level 60 magic). The one needed the most is the enchanting chamber, as any item requires an enormous number of Pizazz Alchemy points, while they don't require much of the rest. Once you enter any of the 4 portals in the back room, You'll be teleported to the Mini-Game area, where you'll also find a Guardian that'll explain you the game throughly. NOTE: If you logout anywhere inside the arena, you'll respawn near the gate. The same happens if you die, and remember that you WON'T lose what you're carrying! Telekinetic Theatre Upon entering the teleport you'll find yourself in a room with a maze in the middle. It seems one of the guardians was turned to rock, and to bring him back to life you need to bring him to the exit square. You cannot enter the maze, so each time you use telekinetic grab on it, the statue will move to your location, so you can control its direction. Each time you complete the maze you'll be awarded some Pizazz points and be teleported to the next maze. If you complete 5 mazes you'll win bonus points. You can also right click the statue (see image to the left) and there are two options. Reset, that resets the statue if everything's not going too well, and Observe, that will change the view. I personally thing its a great functionality :). To get back to the normal camera, just click Observe again. Solutions to some of the mazes, just find the one you have to solve. Courtesy of olifantje - Thanks! (Some people might consider this a spoiler so only use if you want!): [edit]Removed temprarily because of the pic containing some stuff that shouldn't be there, if ytou want to use them, you can still scroll down on page 2 thou[/edit] Alchemist Playground When you enter the portal you'll find yourself in a big room with many cupboards. Your job is to search for items in the cupboards and use high and low level alchemy on them. To get the points deposit the money on the receptacle in the end of the room. Remember that any item and/or money you keep when you exit will be taken away from you. You cannot also wear anything you take from the cuppboards. Keep in mind the price of the items that shows below your points, as it keeps changing (it's the coins you'll get when you alch the things), and so does the position of the items! Sometimes it will even indicate an item that will cost you NO runes to convert with a green arrow, so always watch the priceline as those bargains are irresistible! It seems the only difference between low and high alching is the exp you get from using the spell but I'm not sure. When you collect a good sum of coins you'll get money to take home with you! Yay, sweet ol' gps! The amount of money you get is 10% of the total money you deposited per 100 coins. For example if you have 100 coins you'll get 10gp to take home, if you have 190 you'll get the same ammount, but if you have 200gp you'll get 20gp! To finish you get 1 Alchemy Pizazz point per 100 coins deposited (wich also equals 10gp to be taken home ;) ) One of the tactics I found better was to get only 3 inventory spaces occupied (nats, the hat and space for money - wield fire staff) and get 5 of each stuff (look arround for them) Then alch, if you want to use up nats, the one that gives more money (30gp). If you dont want to use nats (you need to have at least the runes for the spell) just wait till any of the five is a "freebie" (the ones with the green arrow next to it) and cast the spell on all of it's kind. This takes longer but is much cheaper :) I was told by Swordwiz, who was told by pypt that the items in the wardrobes go in a clockwise order. That should help you. Enchanting Chamber After entering you'll find yourself in a square room, with 4 round triangles on each of the square tips. Each of the triangles has a form, that means there are 4 forms total. You get points by enchanting the shapes and then dropping them in the holes in the middle. Remember you can right click and then click on "Deposit Hole" to deposit all orbs you have. For each 10 you do, you'll get points depending on the level of your enchantment spell. For every 20 orbs given a piece of magical equipment will be awarded. You also get one point if you enchant the bonus shape that shows in the bottom right corner of the screen. There are also a few rare dragon stones that look like normal ones but can be enchanted for extra points varying on the enchantment spell you use. Enchanting picked up dragonstones gives extra points. The orbs and dragonstones will be confiscated when you leave the area. A common tactic is to get many of a certain shape and wait till it's the bonus one. Once it is, enchant all you have and drop them in the whole. Then just get more and repeat. A well known tactic is to take a full inventory of a shape and enchant it when its the bonus one. Another oen is to take a few of each color and keep enchanting the bonus one. NOTE: The xp gained by enchanting INSIDE the enchanting chamber is 75% of the real spell XP but only if the shape IS NOT the bonus shape! Creature Graveyards When you exit the teleport you'll be in a big room with plenty of bones spawning arround. They seem to be from every monster that dies arround in runescape, and wouldn't it be great for you to transform them to food to feed the poor hungry monsters out there!? Well but you better hurry, as the bones keep coming, and they hurt you 2 damage each time... So I dont think that most of the food will be for them, but it'll centainly be welcome! What you do here is pick up the bones arround the room and use bones to banana spell, and if you can, the bones to peaches spell for more nutritious food. After having food (and having eaten your part too) put the food in the holes in the wall, to win pizazz points. Ocasionally you'll also get some runes to help with further spells. Each bone gives a different number of bananas, wich is indicated in the bottom right corner of the screen. They keep changing when picked so watch out. You'll also lose any fruit if you dont ahve inventory space for it. After you have collected enough bones you'll be able to buy the bones to peaches spell incase you haven't done so before :) NOTE: If you die here you wont lose your belonging, only lose a few Pizazz points for the costs of teleporting incompentent wizards out of the room :) Rewards Now why would we have all this work for only some exp? Well, it's true, its easier to level up normally but this is a great fun way of training, plus it gives you great stuff if you train harder enough! Now you can't say that of a lesser can you? (Don't answer :) ) NOTE: You have to have all the quantities of the four Pizazz to be able to buy the items! NOTE 2: You cannot sell stuff to this shop. ----------------------------- Beginner Wand 30 Telekinetic Pizazz 30 Alchemist Pizazz 300 Enchantment Pizazz 30 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +5 Magic Attack +5 Magic Defense Apprentice Wand (Upgrade) 60 Telekinetic Pizazz 60 Alchemist Pizazz 600 Enchantment Pizazz 60 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +10 Magic Attack +10 Magic Defense Teacher Wand (Upgrade) 150 Telekinetic Pizazz 200 Alchemist Pizazz 1500 Enchantment Pizazz 150 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +15 Magic Attack +15 Magic Defense Master Wand (Upgrade) 240 Telekinetic Pizazz 240 Alchemist Pizazz 2400 Enchantment Pizazz 240 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +20 Magic Attack +20 Magic Defense Infinity Top 400 Telekinetic Pizazz 450 Alchemist Pizazz 4000 Enchantment Pizazz 400 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +22 Magic Attack +22 Magic Defense Infinity Hat 350 Telekinetic Pizazz 400 Alchemist Pizazz 3000 Enchantment Pizazz 350 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +6 Magic Attack +6 Magic Defense Infinity boots 120 Telekinetic Pizazz 120 Alchemist Pizazz 1200 Enchantment Pizazz Graveyard Pizazz Stats +5 Magic Attack +5 Magic Defense Infinity Gloves 175 Telekinetic Pizazz 225 Alchemist Pizazz 1500 Enchantment Pizazz 175 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +5 Magic Attack +5 Magic Defense Infinity Bottoms 450 Telekinetic Pizazz 500 Alchemist Pizazz 5000 Enchantment Pizazz 450 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +17 Magic Attack +17 Magic Defense Mage's Book 500 Telekinetic Pizazz 550 Alchemist Pizazz 6000 Enchantment Pizazz 500 Graveyard Pizazz Stats +15 Magic Attack +15 Magic Defense Bones to Peaches 200 Telekinetic Pizazz 300 Alchemist Pizazz 2000 Enchantment Pizazz 200 Graveyard Pizazz Level 60 magic required to cast Heals 8 Hitpoints when eaten Mist Rune, Dust Rune, Mud Rune, Smoke Rune, Steam Rune, Lava Rune 1 Telekinetic Pizazz 1 Alchemist Pizazz 15 Enchantment Pizazz 1 Graveyard Pizazz Cosmic Rune 0 Telekinetic Pizazz 0 Alchemist Pizazz 5 Enchantment Pizazz 0 Graveyard Pizazz Chaos Rune 0 Telekinetic Pizazz 1 Alchemist Pizazz 5 Enchantment Pizazz 1 Graveyard Pizazz Nature Rune 0 Telekinetic Pizazz 1 Alchemist Pizazz 0 Enchantment Pizazz 1 Graveyard Pizazz Death Rune 2 Telekinetic Pizazz 1 Alchemist Pizazz 20 Enchantment Pizazz 1 Graveyard Pizazz Law Rune 2 Telekinetic Pizazz 0 Alchemist Pizazz 0 Enchantment Pizazz 0 Graveyard Pizazz Soul Rune, Blood Rune 2 Telekinetic Pizazz 2 Alchemist Pizazz 25 Enchantment Pizazz 2 Graveyard Pizazz ------------------------------- Well that's it! Goodbye As you might have noticed, this guide took me one whole afternoon to make! (about 10 hours) I know it's not the best, and I'd love some critics, but PLEASE do NOT flame me! If Tip.it even wants, I would give this to them freely for them to add to the site (with some modifications of course :) ) If you find any mistake or have succeded in mapping each of the caves contact me as I'd like to add/fix it/them to the guide. Notorious_NICK
anyone else think that the mage's book (examine: a magical book of the mage) is something like a prayer book that you wear? people were making it out to be a new spell book but I doubt that. Lighs
Are the runes prices buy values or sell values? I'd image that selling a large quantity of runes would be a good way to get pizzaz points, but it depends how much they're worth. I'd imagine less than the shop is sellin them for. Headnazgul
Infinity Top: Also, I wanted to mention that in the arena book it says the appearance of the arena progress hat changes when you do more of the arena. When I reached enough points to buy the top, the bottom of my progress hat turned from green to yellow. My guess is that the more of the items you're able to buy from the shop, the more red the bottom of the progress hat becomes.

ShadowFire
I'd like to point out that your points bonus for the Dragonstone is not totally correct. I think it depends on which enchant you use, but I use the lvl 4 Diamond Enchant and get 8 Points per Dragonstone, I'm guessing you were using Onyx Enchant to get 13 points? If so you might want to add about it being different points for the different enchants.
