Haha I'll take a look into puush on both mine and the girlfriend's laptop tomorrow... Anyways... Been a fairly manic past few days. Been working hard on my M.A. dissertation and finishing off my Thomas Becket module the best I can. But still managed to get a few levels over the past few days.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

35 effigies left in bank to work on opening sometime. Though quite a few of them are either mining/smith or wc/fletch paths, so both sets should be openable by summertime and I'll get 99 agil from that and then be able to start plugging them into Fishing or something else slow.

 

 

 

Also figured that 99 mining could happen as soon as 20 days time... But then again I foresee it taking much longer as Warband PK keeps on changing things, ranks, ideas, capes, split worlds, policies etc, that it's hard to even know if I'll survive. They're getting trickier with every passing day. And if I manage mining, I'll consider trying for free construction stuff.

Only AFTER all of these are 99 will I even CONSIDER going for 99 Hunter. To put it in easy terms - I hate Hunter MORE than I hate EoC - and to put that into context too, I hate EoC 1,000,000 times MORE than I hated Dungeoneering at the start and it led to the point where I quit the game for 5 months essentially. EoC is THE WORST thing to happen in the entire history of RS in my opinion, and I will NEVER accept it, even if it means I'm locked out of the greater majority of the game as a whole.

 

Therefore my hatred for Hunter is unparalleled in this respect. I detest even going near the skill. Misfortune and exaggerated hopes from people talking XP rates have made this skill the entire reason why Maxing/Comping will probably never happen in this game for me for a good many years yet.

 

The fact is with Hunter the best exp rate I have ever seen was a set of 35k/hours I pulled at Red Sallies between 60 and 65 whilst trying to get a level a day to do Nomad's Requiem. Continually, I would talk in HYT about it, and eventually (I think it was KATKIS) one of them came, observed me, and told me that ultimately I just had bad luck and Hunter was entirely a luck based skill. I was using the best traps shown by everyone who tried to help, I was following the best methods, using 100% concentration, Hunter pots, bear and camo. And whereas they were all saying "Well I get 70k/hr" I was getting half of that.

 

This trend has continued with Common Jadinkos. Octarine got so frustrated with me he ended up forcing me to join him, showing me the best spots to catch commons (and even Ingenious later on when I could get Juju), and once again EoE was ablaze with XP rates that I was getting a third of. The highest XP/hour I have seen doing Hunter at herbitat, with pots, bear and the best Camo I have (I don't have Witchdoctor and probably never will, I don't know what's needed, how to get it, and it all seems random luck anyways from the amount of times people have raged that they didn't get a specific piece but instead the 431297398123 time getting a mask or something) was around 30k/hr, and one set of 32k/hr.

On a serious note, remember you'll have a fair bit of mining xp in effigies, might be worth opening asap so you don't lock out of that combo from warbands and waste the xp

Good try Mish! I'm like 1 level off the same total as you iirc. And coincidentally left 40k off 92 Thieving and 2 warbands off 93 Mining, both of which hopefully will happen tomorrow.

 

I'll remember the mining effigies Dan! :D Will be doing them as I go. Waiting for the levels though before opening them.

 

Warbands are rage inducing though... VIP being sold to people for 30m for a month (WTF Greed) and some people just BS regardless of being in FC or no. Probably gona be a better idea to wait til afternoon GMT than try on resets. Still 2/3 today, PK'd once. 200k off 93 mining.

Anyways 95 Warbanding

 

Maxed only four months ago (bit less), can already say: you young ones have it easy :(. Yay powercreep.

I did get 90 range in f2p at like 40k/hour xp. So that wasn't so bad.

It's nice that things are going lazily and easily right now :) May become more difficult with time as boring skills like RC and Hunter get left behind, but for now... I'm rather enjoying maxing.

 

Today's been a really nice 3 level day... And tomorrow may be the same, may even stretch the 4 or 5 mark depending what I can do.

Currently in the pipeline for tomorrow will be: 93 Thieving (400k odd to go), boosting for effigies (only 15 left *cry*), 99 Agil, 96 WC (maybe, 400k off), 94 Fletching, and then 96 Mining from late night Warbanding.

Gona be at least 2450 total today which is nice... Fishing is close to a level, Fletching is mega quick anyways, and WC is moderately close... So it'll be one of those 3.
