Acme Toolkits, Inc. declares bankruptcy

Daemonheim, 25 Bennath 169   Acme Toolkits, the company responsible for providing toolkits to Daemonheim's spelunkers, declared bankruptcy yesterday in the wake of a massive drop in sales.   Before its fall, Acme Toolkits was responsible for the manufacture of some of RuneScape's most beloved multitools, including the Rogue Kit, the Mobilizing Armies Quest Kits, the Fish Flingers tackle boxes, the Dwarven Army Axe, and of course the popular Daemonheim Toolkits.   "It's these damn toolbelts every

More Books: First Edition, Signed, Oldies

Old books are awesome :P   Pride & Prejudice   [hide=Photos]   [/hide]   The Iliad   [hide=Photos]   [/hide]   Count of Monte Cristo (in 3 volumes)   These are probably the most fragile books I have. #30: Completionist: Thieving Acquired! (And some other stuff)

As the title says, I've finally got #12! Woo! I kept everything I stole from 88(-ish, not sure exactly) to 99, and here it is.   Got Black Ibis Legs on my fifth last run, I want to go finish the set, but it'll probably take me another fifty years. Through my entire 99 journey, I think I got around eight sceptres, although no fancy ones from the Sarcophagus.   But then my pile of stuff turned into cash:   And here are the 99 pictures.   And I got:   Then I went back to the ol' Slayer and go

Kill them Vyres

These last few weeks the lands of Gielinor did not see much of me. Too much real life getting in the way, most of it connected to either work or first aid courses. Which does take priority over scaping in my mind. But nevertheless I saw the coming of the morytania achievement diaries.   JaGex made me real curious a week before they came out, and in a very clever way too: they accidentally released the morytania diary, but without any content. That got me *so* curious! I just couldn't wait to kn

JagMotion: Exclusive advance review!

Yes, it's true! I can personally confirm that the JagMotion is not merely a seasonal prank. I recently received an advance copy of the JagMotion in the mail from Jagex. Apparently someone up there reads my blog. I've been holding off until it was officially announced, of course, but now that , I'm happy to present an exclusive advance look at the JagMotion control system!  I started by going on a farming run, like I normally do. At first, working the bank was a little awkward, since instead of

First/Limited Edition and Signed Books!

I've always LOVED books. But more than that, I love to own and collect books. As the years go by, I'm getting more and more interested in collecting signed/first edition books. I was having a little fun indexing some of my collection and thought I'd post here :P   A Game of Thrones - Advanced Reading Copy   Advanced reading copies are uncorrected proofs that are printed and privately released before the final book is published. They are for promotional purposes and often get sent to bookstor

#20: 99 Construction

So I finally got my 20th Construction, making this my fifth 99 for the year (Summoning, Herblore, Crafting, Smithing being the previous ones). Still have five more skills to get to 99 for Max Cape, but in a way I may want to get 120 Dungeoneering before that so I can get the Completionist Cape and Max Cape at the same time. We'll see. =) Special thanks to all my friends for putting up with my whining and spamming of "11111111111111111111." :P   [hide='Many Pictures for Your Viewing Pleasure]

Morytania tourism board unveils new promotion: Free Pants

Canifis, 9 Bennath 169   Morytania's tourism industry has been struggling for years. Today, Morytanian Secretary of Commerce Snüp Dagg unveiled a new scheme to attract vacationers: free pants.   "Always in our town of Canifis when we show our true form, the human visitors they tell us they must change their pants," said Dagg. "We are believing that pants are key to the--how you say? Luring? Catching? Ah, attracting--the attracting of new visitors."   To be eligible for the promotion, travellers

#29: Completionist: Week 21.

Only got the one level this week, but a decent one. One to go!     Should have #12 next week, if the last 50 or so levels of Temple Trekking go by fast (The last task I need to finish for Elite Morytania). Catch you next time, ~Dax.

Saying goodbye to an old friend. :(

Last week ended on a sad note for me. On Friday, I dropped off my service truck at the garage for the last time. After 7 years, 8 months and almost 474000 kilometers our journeys together have finally come to an end.     "So what, Kaida? It's just a truck" I hear you say. Spoken like someone who has never had a vehicle for any length of time. And I have had this one for a very long time. It sometimes almost feels like forever. I think I've spent more time in this truck than I have in

2/3 Goals: 99 Summoning Achieved!

Very, very happy! Quite possibly the most gratifying single 99 I've gotten. And those equipment stats will only go up once I get the Hybrid helms!   If you're training Summoning and have completed The Elder Kiln, the TokKul-Zo is excellent for teleporting to bank. Set your familiar option to "Interact" and keep your worn inventory screen open. You can use the 2 key to teleport after clicking the Summoning icon, and after right-clicking the TokKl-Zo in your worn inventory and selecting teleport,

Almost there.

With the aid of bad showtime TV and many just as bad movies (Minus Harry Potter!), I can proudly present:     The cropping Gods did not grace me with their wisdom with this one. Their guidance has been strangely absent recently... Usually they're on my side I swear.   I'm so ecstatic to be obtaining this level. I really am over the moon, there is no smiley to denote my happiness. There was no do because no-one was online. This level means I so close to purging my bank of these:     As comes wi

Trolling Mobilizing Armies

As part of my goal to obtain a trimmed completionist cape I need to have Rank 300 in Mobilizing Armies (MA). The accepted method to grind through this most dull of minigames is to suicide in the Siege scenario. Of course there are some people who like to troll others by killing them before the timer hits 26 minutes (leaving/losing before then gains no rank).   Anyway, today I'm finishing off 300 (286/300) and two of my oppponents are both using all heavies (obvious non suiciders). They then i

1/3 Goals: Temple Trekking Finished

As a kind of response to Trifectious,     And... + more Talon Beast Charms, summing 300 or so. Probably a decent amount more herbs too. Those are Ghast scrolls which are amusingly still upside down, as is the pouch.   Hard to say where I started, although I think it was around lvl 50 for both the little girl and old man (with the 4 others maxed). Definitely recommend only skipping snakes/snails/bogs/Mort'ton. Everything else is quick fodder. Juvinates and Vyrewatch are easily the quickest to ki

Archers thrilled to finally be able to shoot people in head, legs, torso

Edgeville, 3 Bennath 169   Rangers all over Gielinor rejoiced today with the release of Bakriminel bolts, which finally allow them to aim for the target's head, torso, or legs. Previously, it was only possible to aim for the target's feet or arms.   "Oh, yeah, I'm psyched," said R4ng3rno0b889, a local ranger. "Finally, I can aim for someone's torso! I've been trying to shoot their hands this whole time, and let me tell you, it's a right pain in the neck. This new way should be much easier."

#28: Bonus Exp Weekend Gains and Some Others.

I stuck to my word. I thieved to:   And as we all know, this past weekend was the Bonus Exp Weekend, so I prepared myself and stood at the door to my house with 20 oak planks in my inventory and my money pouch filled up, as soon as I woke up the morning after it begun (It started at 11PM in Australia, which is the time I usually go to sleep), I begun my Construction.           Then I had to go visit my sister in hospital, so I missed a day, but when I returned, I got:       Now that the
