Sword Enhancement

I just got Enhanced excalibur after finishing the seers diary. I got 66 herblore off of the final 10k lamp, and my fletching is now 76 (I was too impatient so i boosted to 80 using a stew)

So, we just got August's "But They Said". I plan to review this and give you my opinions on it.

A Quest with a Beer Maze!

Our first update this month is scheduled to be the next part of our Void Knight quest series, A Void Dance. Youll team up with Korasi again to track a strange creature across the world, find out why certain people have been acting strangely, and discover some of the truth behind the events of Quiet before the Swarm. On the way youll solve some tricky puzzles, such as keeping an alchemical experiment from exploding in your face, navigating a maze of beer, and infiltrating the stronghold of one of the Void Knights enemies. This is an experienced quest with requirements of around level 50 in several different skills.

I'm always up for a quest, and this sounds great. As I said before I really loved the first quest in this series. The style of the puzzles seemed similar to some of the great old quests of the past. Not to mention that there is a beer puzzle! BEER! That'll get the Caped Carousers (clan) up in arms. Level 50 skills indicate that this will be a pretty substantial quest. So I'm looking forward to digging into a deliciously concocted plot.

Lair of the Occult!

We also have additional floors, bosses, rewards and challenge rooms planned for Dungeoneering this month. Stretching all the way from floors 36 to 47 of the dungeons, the occult floors are home to some of the most vicious boss monsters found in the entirety of Daemonheim. There are 6 new bosses in total, including:

YkLagor the Thunderous! Originally one of the first bosses encountered on the occult floors, this demon has since been promoted to the final boss of the occult theme thanks to his dramatic introduction and challenging boss mechanic. Its easily one of the most graphically impressive encounters yet.

dungeoneering_boss.jpg

The paragraph here is the next section

If XP is more your thing, the occult floors will give you the chance to increase your Dungeoneering XP gains. With the occult floors descending all the way to floor 47, youll be able to obtain 47 prestige instead of the 35 you are used to, meaning greater XP per hour.

Youll encounter several creatures that are new to Daemonheim, including undead necromancers, who will summon skeletal minions to impede your progress. You may survive these, but youll still have to navigate nine new and fiendish challenge rooms, where deadly herbs and tightrope walking awaits.

Awesome! that will take us all the way up Dungeoneering level 93 if I'm not mistaken. And just by the way that boss looks totally bad-ass. I love the thought that he has a boss mechanic that is "inventive." I mean, the dungeoneering bosses in general are a tier above almost every major monster/quest boss in terms of combat mechanics. I also really love that concept art. I mean DAAAAAMMMMN that's one cool minotaur. Occult floors ftw! (And since they're occult that makes them evil and Magicky right?

So it looks like I'll really need to invest time into Dungeoneering. Because all this just looks so damn cool. Herbs and Skeletal necromancers also sound pretty cool.

Shiny Stuff!

If youre looking to spend your Dungeoneering tokens, we will be introducing eight new rewards, featuring the Ring of Vigour (a reduction to the cost of special attacks), the Eye of the Warrior, which reflects melee damage back to your opponent, and the Rigour prayer, which increases both your ranged damage and your Defence.

Cool stuff. the RoV sounds like it will be kinda overpowered in PvP but it will probably be dreadfully pricey so risk will probably equal reward. EotW (wait...that's the acronym for The Eye of the World, the first in the badass series The Wheel of Time) sounds like it might help knock Melee down a few notches, but again it is likely to be such an elite item that it wont' have too huge of an effect. I'm also a bit confused by the name. Sounds like something that counters "Warriors" more than anything else. Rigour prayer...so they're finally releasing piety for Ranged?

Armies of Gielinor Meets the Void

On the week of RuneFest, were also planning to release a new activity on the Void Knight Island that gives you a unique method of earning Pest Control rewards. The Void Knights have devised an exercise to train their squires and knights in tactical thinking. Conquest will put you in command of a squad of Void Knights in a turn-based, player-vs-player, tactical war game. Choose the composition and formation of your army, unleash game-changing special abilities, and prove yourself one of RuneScapes finest tactical minds on its high score tables. Look out for events in game that week to celebrate the latest addition to our activity catalogue.

So, you're making something like Armies of Gielinor that's built into Runescape? Sounds pretty cool. Hopefully it won't be a total bust like Mobilising armies was. I really like Armies of Gielinor but I really hate Mobilising armies. Well anyway that sounds pretty cool...I guess.

Explain Yourself!

Please note Last months treasure trail updates were sadly rescheduled due to technical issues, and we plan to release them as soon as they are ready.

I know a lot of people who don't use the forums. It's nice to see you make an announcement like this somewhere where those friends can see it...But I'm looking forward to it and Z-buffering.

The Afterthoughts

In other news, we'll be offering you the ability to gain 10 additional bank spaces; you'll be able to obtain strange rocks when constructing furniture in the Build mode of your POH; and you'll hover over agility shortcuts on your world map to find out more about them. Have fun!

1) That's helpful

2) You should've done that a while ago. I mean, why did sitting around in your house do it?

3) Potentially useful.

Concluding Thoughts

Sounds like a pretty Badass month! I'm looking forward to it...

So...I'm apparently incapable of actually being even semi-active on this silly blawg...

But I do semi-maintain a blog on These forums through this big link that takes up so much text because I randomly wanted to make it long, and stuff like that, ya know?

And here's a dump of all the random stuff I've put on that blog recently...

Anyway...if you like runescape, and suggestions check out the forum where I keep my main blog at that big link way up there!!!

Hello everybody. As I said in my previous and very brief post: I HAVE RETURNED! However, this post will not be quite so brief.

Somethin' 'Bout the Last Few Months

So, for the past five months or so, I have not had a quest cape *gasps*. As of yesterday however, that has been remedied. I have still not obtained 70 in all stats, although I hope to get that sometime in the near future. 10th grade is over and I got straight A's (I'm gonna be honest, there were a few A-'s). I've gotten 80 slayer, trained dungeoneering to almost 60, and...I now have 95 defence. So that's exciting, happy-making, whatever.

So, as is my duty as a mad quester, I'm gonna talk about the two most recent quests, and Nomad.

EW3

This quest was awful, the entire thing was centered around one puzzle, and unlike MEP2 there isn't enough of a powerful and captivating storyline to justify that, and this puzzle doesn't require even half the brain power that MEP2 does, it's just a giant annoying slider puzzle with time delays and a counter. It would have been a hell of a lot better, and made a hell of a lot more sense, if there wasn't that damn time delay between moves as your character circles the massive sliding board. Personally I found the puzzle itself to be something of a pushover once you got past the first section, so I wasn't ranting about that.

Again, the Elemental workshop quests don't really make sense to me. They unlock half decent rewards, have a half baked storyline, take place in a wierd laboratory, have puzzles and procedures that take way too long to justify what you get and just don't capture my imagination.

Quiet Before the Swarm

Ignoring the lackluster requirements, I really, really, really liked this quest. The plot was vibrant, it captured my imagination, It was nice to see the void knights as a living community, not just some random backstory for a minigame. Although easy to solve, I felt the puzzles were something of a throwback to the good ol' quests. I don't know why, but many of the recent quests have just been apalling for me. They haven't had that little something that made me love quest like DT, MM, Legends, or WGS. This quest really seemed to capture that appeal. I also have to love the way they created that cliffhanger.

Nomad

Kyatt: Pew-pew-pew I'm firin' mah LAZOR!

Ruby bolts: Ve vont to suck your vlood!

Nomad: You have doomed this world!

School Week.

Hi guys. Maybe you thought i was gone...but you're out of luck! I'm here! I'm hungry! and I want PIZZA!

So...yeah.

Weekly Briefing (RS)

Generally unexciting...it took me three days to do the penguin hunt (I hope that tells you how much time I have during school weeks). However I started legitimately managing my kingdom after noticing the recent spike in herb prices. First three days brought in over 1million gp and a zammy egg :D. the next two brought in 500k and a sara egg :D. Also got 63 summoning

Weekly Briefing (School)

Everyone at my grade is obsessed with this new game called "Bananagrams" which is speed scrabble in a banana bag...

I handed in big projects in Chemistry and English. And got an 101% on my test in Calculus (I skipped a year of math because the standard curriculum was too easy.)

Fur n' Seek Wishlist:I need 78 slayer (75).

Great day today! Got several levels in several skills, think I broke even overall.

Daily Briefing

Well...today was great. Started off in the morning with roughly 20 runs through pyramid plunder. Got from 68 to 70 thieving, that's another skill kicked up into the 70's (9 left). After that I sorta went on a streak of opportunism for the rest of the day, getting any levels that I was even somewhat close to.

First thing I did was take one look at my runecrafting xp, realize I had only 3.3k left until the next level and did some runs at the Ourania altar using some essence I had picked up at a clan GOP game. I then waddled happily off to Cromperty to collect some more essence.

I then realized than I had less than 20k xp until 63 firemaking, quickly followed by a pang of guilt that I hadn't yet gotten my ring of fire. So I easily lit 6 beacons, got something like 13k xp and collected my reward from Roald. But I wanted another level so I bought some more maple and got it. Now, being the driven person that I am I was totally unsatisfied with 64 firemaking. I decided, "Hey what the heck!" and burned (erm...pun intended *blocks rotten watermelon*) about 90k on 200 yew logs to speed up the process (I had been using the immensely cheap maples). Needless to say I got it.

To round off the day I caught 104 chinchompas and got 62 hunter...a good day indeed

What I unlocked today

Ring of Fire

63 Firemaking: Eucalyptus Pyre Logs

65 Firemaking: Goblin Mining Helmet  , Yew Pyre Logs, and Barbarian Technique Maple Fires

70 Thieving: Paladins

*ALERT*

I will continue to blog every day hopefully, however when school starts in teh next few weeks my rate of levelling will decrease dramatically. One more day ...

Well hello Tip.it bloggers and forummers. I bring good tidings of the new year, discussion about my clan, more of my infamous pics and well...just some general fun!

Daily Briefing

I started off the day with some mining, star hunting to be precise, I mined two stars and gathered my reward for today and my stardust for tomorrow. With about 5k xp left and one of my friends begging me to come join him in exploring the Haunted Mine for a quest suggestion he's writing, I went to the mining guild and got myself a mining level (level 68 to be precise)

Me and my friend then spent some time running around an old mine, knocking down haunted pickaxes, sending glowing fungi around and getting beat up by haunted minecarts. Good things never last. His power line was apparently hit by a firework  so i ended up all alone in a random mine...

I gathered about 20 salve shards just for good measure before teleporting out.

At this point however I really, really, really did not feel like mining anymore. So I said to myself "In what other activitie can i plunder treasure from beneath a large mound of rock." then it struck me, and I headed off to pyramid plunder. After the horrific experience that is mining xp rates pyramid plunder was like a breath of fresh air (or an icy gale).

After getting two thieving levels (66 & 67) I ran off to my clan's event, a game of stealing creation. After on game i felt honor bound to return to pyramid plunder but whilst getting that got into a small argument with my clan leader (don't worry though, nothing happened in disciplinary terms)...and to end the day I got 68 thieving.

What I unlocked.

Level 66 thieving: I now have all the levels necessary to complete curse or arrav...wait a minute...I boosted for that months ago

Nothing -.-

My Goals for This Year

Get 70+ in all stats...even the new one (faints)

Keep my quest cape...

Umm...idk

Mass Haxor = Not-So-Mass Hoaxor

'nough said.

So. It's time for my fourth blog entry. And this is my New Years Eve Blog entry. I've got lots to say, so lets get started.

EDIT: just got 365 views

Daily Briefing

Today was meh. Only got one level up. I started off the day with a bad headache. In the morning I did penguins, used the xp on summoning and got to lvl 62.

I spent the rest of the day on and off mining, did 2 or 3 stars, and got about 200 coal. But I didn't get a level. God mining is annoying. Give me a moment to go bang my head on an ore bearing rock.

In real life the house-cleaners came (an odd mix of luxury and torture) so my family went to see Avatar. More on that later.

What I Unlocked Today

-62 Summoning: Abyssal Lurker Familiar and Abyssal Stealth Scroll

A Jagex New Year

So Jagex has just released a new years message. I have to say, looking back, that this was a better year than we gave it credit for at the time. We got high level updates, a good batch of quests, and some good technical upgrades that really improved the game. I'm not the only one waiting for next year with high hopes, a new skill, grandmaster quests, and quest extensions. It will be fun! B)

2009 Dark Avorian Style

This was an epic year. Just to cover ALL the bases I'ma go one by one.

-I joined two amazing clans which are compatible as well as a community of Runescape suggesters who I mesh well with.

-I got 60+ in every skill

-I got 100 combat

-I got a Quest Cape

-I got several hundred total levels.

-I did most quests on release day.

-I met a J-mod or two.

And to close off the year, My take on Avatar

Great movie! Epic! Awesome! Boo-yah!

My one problem...?

Movies are images, movies are all about images. And the whole web of images that that movie built up around the native people was shattered by the final seen in which they were herding the humans around prison-camp style.

Also...out of the protagonists (not antagonists) the human females all died (scientist and heli pilot), and the native men all died (chieftain and new chieftain)

Wait, one more thing

Have some fun you scary hacker you. Good job getting people to look at your list with 6 or 7 viruses attached to it. Apparently I'm on the list...but i sleep soundly tonight knowing you're an attention seeking nerd with no life (and i don't mean that in insulting RS style I mean it so literally it hurts)

Daily Briefing

Yesterday was a good day. Such a good day that I went to sleep bleary eyed and am now writing the blog post for that day at 6:27 in the morning. And guess what? It snowed!

I started my day off with four games of stealing creation (one of the best minigames out there!) Having also attended a game with my clan the previous night I was able to purchase 5 morphic tools...I then went about using roughly one harpoon per level until the last level where I used two. For anyone who didn't just do the meager amount of mentally monotonous mathematics that means I got to lvl 70 fishing.

Actually, after the big fuss I made about how AWESOME Catherby is I went to the fishing guild and found it equally enjoyable. Perhaps I just like harpooning?

By the time i got 70 it was relatively late. I drove myself into the night cooking over 1000 fish in Catherby (I know it ain't that much). Soon I had 70 cooking.

To round off my day I went for my weekly tears run and got 61 construction. Now all my levels are 61+

Next skill...mining perhaps?

What I unlocked today

68 Fishing: The Fishing Guild

70 Fishing: I can now catch swordfish barbarian style. I can now catch leaping sturgeon (also a barbarian art).

70 Cooking: I can now make admiral pies (great...just after I finish fishing).

61 Construction: gilded benches, floor decoration (throne room), and incense burners.

Daily Briefing

So, after a hard day of leveling and several hard days of green dragon killing I decided that today would be a relaxing day. I headed off for the Catherby beaches, thoughts of lying in the hot sun tanning my irregular polyhedral body. But when I arrived I knew that no such thing would happen. I immediately caught the skilling buzz, and finally rediscovered the rhythm of fishing I had thought lost ever since I trained in the same place for heroes quest (judging by my quest cape...I'd say that was quite some time ago).

I caught a healthy amount of swordies, and a good batch of tunas and that rare but satisfying fish the level 65 .immediately after I got this little catch I ran to the bank and started frying up some good old swordfish. I soon had 67 cooking and with that I was back to the beaches for more intense fishing madness.

After a good period of time i got the level up I'd been waiting for. Soon after I was sitting on a large pile of cooked swordies when i realized i had none left and still 9600 xp to go till 68 cooking...So i fried up 97 tunas. That was an interesting experience...I hadn't cooked tunas since before I had 65 cooking so it was my first experience of the no burn effect.

What I Unlocked Today

-I can fish Karambwan

-I can wear Swordfish gloves

-I can cook tuna potatoes

-I will never burn another lobster whilst wearing cooking gauntlets

Today's Pics

You may notice the quest cape guy wandering around my level ups, don't worry, it's just me...(I made them to pass the time during inventories)

A Quick Bit on Catherby

Ok, I feel honor bound to explain myself to my readership (btw...~130 views since first post...wow). I know as well as most of you that Catherby tuna+swordy harpooning isn't exactly the speediest method of garnering xp. And yet, I cannot bring myself to fish anywhere else...shilo, piscatoris, and Otto's grotto have all tasted my bait for hours but I always walk off in disgust, rarely with a level to show.

Catherby is special. Unlike those other places it isn't just a haven for those who want fast xp faster. It's a place that people regularly travel, it's a nice beach, it's fishing opportunities range from lvls 1-76 (96 if you count barbarian style shark-fishing). The people who come there are happy to have a nice conversation and it's an engaging community. There are often people just hanging around on the beach doing random stuff. It's also a significantly cheerier looking place than most. \:D/

And theres that fuzzy feeling i get inside when I give a noob a little help.

D I Y

Ok, another explanatory segment. You've caught me at an odd time...I'm in a very DIY mood right now (its so satisfying). But that is not the usual me... I often buy levels.

So...This is me my first blog post...I'm also pretty new to tip.it forums (though I've used tip.it for quite some time)...anyways.

I'm here to talk about stuff...more specifically the stuff I do. I think that's interesting stuff, don't you? I'm a crazed quester, a follower of Zaros, defeater of dagannoths, user of Magicks and Curses, Legend, Champion, Hero, Savior of the Cave Goblins, Killer of Tyras, Member of the Myreque, Servant of the gods, and rebel against them...

I'm also proud to say I have 60 in every skill...and I'm hoping this blog will document me getting 70 in all.

1000 Green Dragons

I recently got into the Christmas spirit...i decided i would give 1000 dragon bones to the gods, give 333 people a dragonhide body (and one person a pair of vambraces) (all for G. E. prices of course...), and give 1000 dragons a taste of my whip...I decided these dragons had to be of a christmas-ey color: that meant green, red, or white. Red was to hard, white doesn't exist (and i didn't exactly fancy gathering 333 third age dragonhide bodies) so it had to be green...and so I did that...and below are the results. (I hid them so they don't resize <_< )

[hide]projec10.png[/hide]

[hide]pray_l10.png[/hide]

[hide]crafti10.jpg [/hide]

In Other News...

I got 67 mining today.

I got Guthix plate and d'hide bodies while killing the drags.

I played around with an ags for 7 hours today.
