  1. hmm, so i only got one opinion, wow, that means im most likely wrong. and the reason he is over there is because he wants to defend his country to the best of his ability, unfortunatly, the liberals wont let him. btw, im joining the marine corps as soon as im old enough, because i love my country. I understand that, but what im saying that if you're a soldier in the battlefield, why would you be protesting against it, unless you were somehow forced to go there. It is your choice to be there, and you get the advantages and honor from it. he is there because he want to be there, he has trained 1/3 of his life to be a soldier and he wants to stay and do what he is trained to do, he is just mad because the media and others wont support the way it needs to be done, all he wants is for that to change, so we can kill more bad guys with less casualties, and get back home faster to prepare for the next conflict.
  2. i agree with you on everything but it being useless. look at kelly clarkson, shes on her way to be a multi millionare (then again, look at rueben studdard, on his way to flipping hamburgers :ohnoes: )
  3. i see where most of you are coming from, but still, is it too hard to believe that this is the opinion of.........lets call it half the soldiers over there, 1 half is right wing, 1 half is left wing. and still, i dont care if your a democrat or not, if you were on the front lines and this was happening to you, i think that you wold have some of the same opinions.
  4. yea, sorry about that, we will move to another post  .

  8. Hey everyone, since all the answers ive been getting on what we should havent really been answered straight, try to do so now. It's a manifesto of sorts from a Staff Sergeant in the fight in Afghanistan. He had an experience recently while on mid-tour leave to see his wife and baby boy that was the last straw: (plz, im just the messenger, this is un-edited) Things that I am tired of in this war: I am tired of Democrats saying they are patriotic and then insulting my commander in chief and the way he goes about his job. I am tired of Democrats who tell me they support me, the soldier on the ground, and then tell me the best plan to win this war is with a ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åphased redeployment̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  9. [quote name="Ginger_Warrior I was indeed at the Stop The War Coalition march in Hyde Park' date=' London, March 2003. In my opinion, I don't see how the Americans can justify the reasons that they have given thus far for the war in Iraq. It's turned that Britain has a guilty part to play in this as well, with the accusations of the "sexed up dosier" on WMD in Iraq and the 45 minute claim. To be frank, you have to dread into what the American and British actions after the war were. Of course, Bush (or rather the US Army) has mishandled the situation engrossingly. I don't blame G. Bush 100% for this, the Americans seem to have a history of not knowing how to fight wars properly, and especially what to do after. The European countries have a much grater knowledge on war-time mobilisation, simply because we've been around about 1,500 years longer than the USA. [/quote] lol, not to turn this into a flame war but, WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT WAR! this war in iraq is screwed, yes, but not due to g bush or the US army. this war getting out of hand because the liberals keep telling the army, navy, marine corps, and air force how to fight this war from the comfort of our capitel. ill put up a post telling how the average front line soldier feels about iraq. anyway, victor, good post, but the only way africa will be helped is if we kill (did i say that! #-o ) all the UN leaders and find some guys who will take charge and get things done in th UN.
  10. yes, that might be true for a country 200 years ago, but now, with aids and other diseases killing many, and now they have GUNS, you cant really expect for it to turn out well. this is an amazing post, i like to see people taking a stand for what the believe in. the only thing wrong with it is the fact that this is the United Nations JOB to take care of things like this, not the united states. if the us went in country, the media would have a field day, saying" BUSCH IS CRAZY, IMPEACH HIM!" and the like. this is the media right, but the public would go against busch too, then, the US is screwed. we would probably send aid if the UN dids its jobs. but until all the european wussy countries get off thier buts and decide to actually see this for what it is, a genocide(which BY LAW they are required to intervene) nothing will be done. of course, you could raise a few million dollars and hire a mercenary group to go in and clean up, that would be the best appraoch, in my opinion.
  11. THEY DIDNT HELP IN RAWANDA, THATS THE WHOLE DEAL! the UN sent 5000 "peacekeepers" to rawanda. 30 got killed, the UN pulled out and let a genocide run on, and then for the kicker, THEY MADE A DECISION NOT TO CALL IT A GENOCIDE! can you beilieve that. 1 of the first times they can really do their job and they back out on a technicality. the US had its hands full with somalia so they couldnt really help, but still, this is just the UN screwing over one more country because they dont have the guts to help. At least they tried. I'd much rather have the UN there than not, but they need more firepower and authority in my opinion. Anyway, your comments sparked my memory of a documentary I saw about the Canadian General who lead things in Rwanda. Yea, it was kind of a mess, wasn't it. kind of a mess! thousands of people died, around 4/5 were killed WITH MACHETES! choped in pieces with massive blades,. yea, id say it was a mess.

  13. hmmmmmm..... last i checked this was the United Nations JOB to prevent this, but, just like rawanda, they made a rule not to call it a GENOCIDE , because if it was a genocide the UN WOULD BE obligated(meaning "oh, lets go send 5000 peacekeepers to do a terrible job, then as soon as one gets killed, pull out.) so, even though its the uns job to take care of this, they have to find the easy way out. ps, no matter how strong the president feels about this, theres no way that he would let this country get into another war with iraq and afganistan on his plate.
  14. hmmm, peta=wierd! still, most of em are old hippies who are gonna die soon.
  15. this post is rapidly destabilizing into a flame war. gotta love it

  17. im a diehard, hardcore christian. to the fullest extent possible, as victor already knows, i believe that the bible is the literal word of god. but, since this is not a flamewar post (yet) ill be nice and admit that of all the other religouns ive studied i think that buddhism is pretty chill(but wrong)

  22. Similar sigs (by atheists or otherwise) are already removed and have been removed for a long time. I've removed more than a few "I don't believe in Christ. If you don't either put this in your sig." or something similar, we don't just pick on Christian sigs. OT is allowed religious discussions and they are prohibited in all other places on the forum. Since signatures have a way of roaming to every board you post on it is not acceptable to have the references in your sig. We can't of course catch every sig right when it's changed so we have to depend on the staff and users to point out these sigs and they will be removed. Just report the post of the person who has an inappropriate sig and specify that in the comments part and it will be dealt with. ok, thanks for anserwing that, ive seen a few, and didnt know they had also been removed.
