  1. that's a sorry state of affairs, looking at that it makes me feel even luckier even if my predicament is not to my liking by far. i went from 0 marks to over 10 in a matter of hours from a player walking in on a conversation, misinterpreting what i had said mid-sentence and Jagex not taking the whole picture to what had been said. I've now been denied any further appeal on any further attained black marks, if i even pick up 0.1 marks i will be banned once again. It does give me little faith in the way perm bans are treated seeing as Jagex had previously given such personal time to help me out. The same little niggle i have is that the same CS staff member responded to both my appeals with the same message, it doesn't bode well i guess. anyway i doubt i should have driven so far from the road with this post so :boohoo: onwards.
  2. Exactly the same with me when i appealed, the reports on me went through within 4 hours, the ban appeal took about 6 days and i got a automated response for both of them. I'm just glad i got a second chance and that i shan't make a slip of tong sentence again. apart from that my Bug report (where i was personally stuck inside graphics i) was hand written and helpful where a mod was sent out to sort the issue. I've only ever got 2 other automated responses since. A LOT better CS then other mmorpg or even mobile networks i have had to deal with i must say. EDIT: CS has, and hasn't improved it's become a lot more impersonal at times but is allot more effective then 3-4 years ago.)
  3. looks like a good read but is that meant to make me chuckle or did i not get the real meaning for it?
  4. i think the best idea for me was to stay level 90-99 for a year and a half. other then that i think my name was the only other good idea (i mean, i paid 15mill for a easter egg when the price [bleep]ed earlier this year so I'm not a lucky money man)
  5. Does anyone remember a few years back when CW was bugged? not when male heads disappeared or when teh waiting rooms never worked but the day when flags forgot they were already captured and spawned after a couple of minutes again! also you could steal them and go around the world. Also a the world map dating nov 04 the oldest one i have from my playing time. http://i23.tinypic.com/1449t79.jpg
  6. i once admitted that i started playing runescape three years ago... that didn't go down too well, the hype and mocking died down and about a year ago i started (and quit 6 months later) WoW now that i'm 17 and in collage (with mostly the same people i was friends with in schooling) i don't really wish to tell them that i once again play RS. Seeing as WoW was taken as "the cool MMORPG to play" even my girlfriend at the time teased me for playing so once i quit everything seemed to go alot smoother. I only wish RS was taken as a more adult game rather then a child's game but i guess it shall forever stay a secret.
  7. i personally thing the combat triangle could do with a new re-buff. I would like to see the idea of intellect introduced. Not souly as a asset like strength, but more of a skill like prayer where you can use it in different occasions with your own input. Say you get into a fight with sword against sword the use of "intellect" can sway the fight into your favor being able to predict the next swing from your foe to knowing the "weak" spots. But like i said, it wouldn't just be a skill you can power to 99 you will have to use it like you use magic or prayer, use it wisely and adapt to the combat at hand. What use would it to be if you have the "use weak spot stabbing memory" when you have a mage staff at hand casting fire bolt? You would be better off using your "charge fire bolt into a nuke memory" wouldn't you? this could severely sway the combat triangle depending on how you use your skills, but equally your foe may be smart enough to combat this and bring back the fight. just sounds cool i think :)
  8. It's helped me tremendously, i still have 3 friends that i originally played RS(classic) with and when i returned from retirement you can always see who your true friends where and how much of an impact on the one world you caused. leaving a mark in a community is always easier in a smaller group, it does great things for moral.
  9. With the newly added sell 50 option, you can sell 15k+ items in a matter of minutes. 1: place said noted items on the bottom row of your inventory. 2: place your mouse just at the bottom of the noted item. 3: right click. 4: make sure it's in line for "sell 50". 5: Left click. Tadaa do that at speed and you can sell thousands of noted coifs, (u) bows etc in minutes and make a bit of cash at the same time! Edit: Personal tip, play on one world and get to know the community. You will soon learn who can be trusted, who can't. You will also learn the social triangle as well. Nothing better then a home world where everyone knows your name, it can make RS in a tightly packed family and word will spread quickly on any trouble makers. If you like that sort of thing that is.
  10. Yet, Jagex have the time, ability and staffing to ban tens of thousands of accounts via there own testing/Report reading. The man hours in the long run from taking the majority of BIG gold farming sites is puny compared to banning repeatably that is actually only slightly effective if you catch the bot before the goods have be shipped on, sold for gold and the cash has landed in the farmers hand. Think about it, the bots on RS are so effective because it's FREE to play, if Jagex start taking companies to court over the issue and say, make there stolen property (the gold is legitimately there pixel data, and the farmer is selling it on, so in-fact i think this is one of the reasons a company can "sue" and we all do sign a contract [Terms and conditions] to play.) with enough sites getting wads of money taken back from them soon the numbers will dwindle even slightly. masses of banned accounts, or Jagex getting money back, and companies leaving for good? What would you pick?
