you will have to adapt to the situation if you wish to merchant with this update. If it's anything like WoW's auction house system you will still be able to merchant so don't be a silly fool and start to singe that you can't make money from other people now. This is one of the updates that I've wanted in RS for a VERY long time (along side the idea of a mail-box in game, yes like WoW) Don't shed tears over the loss of possibly merchanting opportunities because there will be a lot and then again, merchanting isn't a "key" part of RS it;s just a side factor just like the unwritten rules (IE: don't mine other people's rocks) this could be one of runescape's best updates given a few weeks for the kinks to be sorted out!

I presumed he had tried your advice first, but assumptions are the sum of all screw-ups. As it's a laptop i would definably advise you to check if you check the fans are working, that they are not blocked/clogged and the temperature isn't getting too high, so basically what Blade said. What i meant about "does it run fine if you leave it to run without being plugged into the mains" If you leave your laptop turned on, running for a prolonged period of time without you interacting with it, does it still shut down? Also blade, i don't work with laptops and the only batteries i have to deal with are CMOS ones, but will placing the laptop on the mains to charge increase the battery's output Watts to be able to run at the level it was originally produced to run at?

long story short; two kids over hear me and a friend debating the new ATI ddr2 ram and it's ok latency (+awesome heat displacer) and start to boast about how amazing there computers are. i started to cringe at the point where they start adding figures and words together that make no logical sence. nub: Yeah, well i have 7G.I.G.S of processor nub2: Well my dads mate said he has the most powerfull PC ever. skip me crying on the inside to absolute dumbfounded foolishness and land at the point where they start to use the word R.A.M #-o nub: i've got 27.2 G.I.G O.F R.A.M me: come again? nub2: so i have 71 G.I.G.S O.F R.A.M and 40 G.I.GS left me:lol... this goes on and on and on for a good 30 minutes i don't know whether to laugh at them or just tell them quietly that they are making fools of them selves. until i struck gold nub: so what my my macs got like 100G.I.G free on the hard drive so it runs faster then urs lol /debate over nub2 wins by default. To be fair I've smartened it up a bit, i removed the name calling and actually wrote what they said in actually English, but the use of capital and full stops is all there own doing for some reason they thought it would... i don't know they just did it. Not exactly "noobs" but childish people without a clue to what they are trying to win in. beats the whole "OMG MY BAND TOTLALY PWNS URS LOLOL" topics i guess.

sounds like the battery is nearly dead mate. From what you are saying, when you open up more system dependent tasks that take a hold of resources your laptop dies correct? if it just goes *ping* dead it's a good guess your battery is nearly dead and isn't supplying enough power wattage to keep the system at that level. also the fact that your wireless isn't being given enough juice to boost it's single is another sign and on top of that the cell age is 6 years old. Re-place the cell (E-bay it) if you are sure it's not software causing the crashing, i doubt it though and also does it run fine if you just leave it on, not plugged into the mains or in use?

i was permanently banned (instant 10 black marks) for openly engaging in a conversation with another (rl) friend about the implications of a dictionary brute-force password hacker on a network and once i utter the words "i test it at school" (being in my last year at the time) i was reported for password scamming, regardless to the fact that it couldn't be used on a java applet or that i was not admitting to stealing runescape passwords, using it on runescape or in any direct or indirect manner towards a user of runescape. i was permanently banned within 4 hours. directly from the rules page this very minute, treated VERY seriously. Jagex gave me a automated response to my appeal, gave me a last chance and revoked any more rights to appeal any further times. why did i drone on? because the moral of the story is, children play the game and take things smack damn out of context, runescape CS don't treat paying customers with respect (if it was 1 bm i wouldn't care but they are slapping 10 marks on me without even giving a written response.) and the good guy causing no damage, or playing questionable motives are given the rap. I feel sorry for you.

I Played runescape, i quit, i played WoW i quit. i wish i hadn't spent around ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã110 on membership and buying the disks for WoW. Yet another product of 3rd gen game consoles "dude, graphics make a game, gameplay comes second." child. Probably the only person that is non-bias and has a sense of humor in response to a "runescape sucks" video is this guy here does contain 14 year old fat kid abuse but hey, it is in moderation and humor one step further then a kid that moans about runescape, is one that moans about it to youtube because he thinks everyone cares.

as i see it mini-clip was a double edged sword, a catch 22 it you must. To boost your player base you must advertise and drag players in, but to keep your players happy you must have a community that is contempt with each other. Jagex didn't really take the later as a overall effect, it has to be said that mini-clips on the whole was a player base of younger, more "i want it now, not later" children (this is not 100% of the player base as we have already seen people on Tip-it came from mini-clips as well. Like opening a dump valve RS player base grew and as a direct correlation the so called "immature children" percentage grew. i saw RS go from 20k strong online to 200k strong F2P went from a community to a war zone with pockets of people trying to get by, P2P went from a haven of skillers and personalities to screaming players and people expecting there ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã4 to buy them glory and a name. I really would have liked to see JAgex play there java card and advertise on MMORPG.com and other java/rpg sites before they splashed out on mini-clips because now if Jagex went and took the more serious sites as an advertising prospect you would see any people playing it alongside "mini-clipers" Just Imagen though if you may, 200k players where the percentage of intellectual conversations over childish banter and flaming was greater. Walk into catherby and you had a full on debate over current affairs without the term "LOL! politition/Country X is like wtfpwn urs!!!lololol!" It was a dream that could never be anymore. PS: i use the term "mini-clippers" and "immature kids" VERY loosely because to be honest it's not just those stereotypes that cause a bad community, RS has never HAD a perfect community no game does this big. dreams and rant> :boohoo:

Worst: Barrows maze with lag. Scariest: Being glitched inside the game for a week whilst you wait for jagex to sort you out and return you to a real part of the map with the thought "damn, they are going to kill me to just make this simple, am i going to get all those items back again?" the result was i just got "killed" and ended up in lumby with all my items.

I tend to get exp to level up, that's my key idea. But i only level up non-Combat skills (i like being level 99) so while i sit and fish sharks i work the mathematics out for length of time to gather X amount of resources valued at lowest value on the market of Y to overall meet goal Z. at the moment, i'm fishing sharks at a value of 1k each for the goal of i'm not too sure. :-k

World 83 fishy guild: honestly, Byrne is one of the friendliest people i have come across including all other Jagex staff i have met. Jmods are out on force tonight, he spent all the time talking about our levels.

I've seen scammers try to sell spinach rolls to low levels for all there hard earned 4gp before, only for the newbie to get a mysterious old man box, and be rewarded with there own spinach roll. It's priceless to see people scream in pure bliss over receiving a free spinach roll just before being scammed.

I first learned how to change attack styles to train str att and def from a very kind level 10 near edgy, he walked me into the wild told me the steps and asked me to show him if i understood, i hit him and i got a royal caning. i got given my wooden shield back later on from the same guy and i didn't think much of it until i noticed later in my life that i had actually been lured and pked by the nicest douche ever.

i returned from quitting and a new skill had been developed called hunter! By the time i got the guts to start the skill people had already got 80-90 in it so i was going to be ok in the low level areas i guessed. the most i knew about hunter was, it involved animals. and I'm not much of a combat man and like to prepare... i turned up at the crimson swifts after being PMed there location with full Armour, whip and sharks, super set and tele runes. i felt a little over dressed to say the leased with level 20s all around me asking what items i had on. :x When farming finally arrived i was one of the first to be down to the fally patch, i weeded the veg patch and spent 10 minutes trying to sow my newly found "weed" into the plot. i felt like a fool later on shouting out "why on earth cant i plant my weed seeds" i think most people thought it was a joke and i was making wise cracks about being a cannabis grower but i didn't get it till a few day slater and i had already dug up my dead crops. :oops:

This is pre-POH, it was in the hero's guild (blue drag) KQ area, and the last image is of old faly where the white knights are (if i remember rightly that is) but yes, the grim reaper looked a lot "fitter" back then, now he's aged and stuck in a chair.

8-) World 83 I've been playing that server since it's release so it's got some sort of humble feel to it for me. also, it's close i get hardly any lag and people only flood the server to stake and not farm now.
