What is a worker in general? A worker is somebody who gives their labour in exchange for money from the employer. ex: Employer - hires a coal (or other goods) miner for x amount. Worker - mines x amount of coal, after reaching the quota the worker gives that amount of goods to the employer, who pays the worker.

Not sure about the armour, but if I have to take a guess I will say it disappears like all other objects when you remove it.

Chaos runecrafting is a members only. There are no runners from what I know. Most people are only runecrafting for money (nature).
