PJB, Nadril and beesa, have you all judged? so it'd be safe to post which pixel was ours? for example, i want to use mine as a signature.. is it safe to do that now?

i wanna know who won :( that and ive turned my entry into a sig, and i wanna use it! :D

i think they judge it as soon as both contestents for a particular 'round' (say, you and terley) have both entered their pixels. then the judges.. 'judge' them lol. not necisarily from a top to bottom order. and what pixel? i saw no pixel :shock:

i'd remove that right now, not all of the judgings done yet...

wow, that shows how mature you are, Maxidataxi. have you guys EVER actually noticed just how rude you ARE? Someone new comes here, and all you do is flame flame flame, "your work sucks" or make lame and mocking pictures of the original poster. as ive said before, grow up and learn to post something decent and helpful instead of acting like the children you are. havn't you been told so many times before that if you dont like something, simply dont waste anyones time by posting abusive words, and flaming? that picture, maxidataxi, is too far

definatly loving it so far, and for reference, i personally prefer version 2, its easier to see the details. i love the red dragon thats flying on the left, and the little demon-like-thing in the top right is awesome, though the stuff dripping from its mouth seems to be falling slightly unnaturally from its right side of its mouth.

honestly, i hate the shark at the moment. at first, when i first saw it, i thought it was an evil cartoon dolphin to be honest. i dont mean to be honest but thats just what i thought. sharks have straighter snouts, and unlike dolphins it dosnt curve down to the mouth. i did an example. also, you wouldnt see the sharks tail. its impossible for it to leap out of the water like that, with its tail bent at that angle; when a shark/dolphin/whale/any animal leaps out of the water, they use their tail beneath them and move it powerfully and quickly to propell them out of the water, if the tail was up like that, it wouldnt be in the air. heres a brief example of some of the things with the shark; the tail is gone, and the heads a bit of a better shape though of course im still not saying its perfect. try looking at some reference pics of great whites comming out of the water. ill give you credit though the rest of the sharks body looks fine, with the fins, theyve got a pretty good shape. must say i really like your green 'creature' as well :) keep it up :wink:

this is how i do har on animals, people, whatever. you can modify the strokes to get different styles of hair. next to the hair on the left side are 5 different coloured circles, the top being the lightest, the bottom the darkest. these were the colours i used for the part of the hair i re coloured/did. i started by choosing the middle colour and making all the hair that colour, as a base. then i selected the second lightest colour, and added highlights, with a bigger range than normal, then use the lightest colour and add it in the middle of these 'highlighted' bits, enhancing it even more. then, add the 4th colour, the second darkest, in areas where the base colour is plentyful (where there are shadows etc) and use the darkest as only a few strokes, to show some depth. zoom in and youll see.

pixels and self portraits seem to be allowed, quite a few people have self portraits of themselves as their avvy's

pretty sure its not allowed. a little while ago a mod locked the link for the guy wanting someone to photomanip a picture of him skateboarding, so theres an example of it not being allowed :)

the very first time you save, make sure you change it to PNG, and every time you save afterwards as well, itll keep the quality then :wink:

unfortunately, if you dont have a version saved as a gif to start with, your in trouble. it wont work if you have a jpg and then save it as a png, its already too late. gif files keep quality, generally, but are larger files. if the only copy you have is a jpg, sorry but youll have to redo it to get the quality back and save it as a png

generally its better if people dont post their first sigs. theyre usually not the best. for advice on how to improve? firstly, dont save as jpegs, save as a PNG. jpg loses a lot of quality. PNG keeps the quality and reduces the file size. its good to see you actually tried something, unlike some people who dont even bother. stat sigs arnt liked much on this particular forum, because a lot of the people on here only appreciate the length of time it takes to do something and the originality, wheras stat sigs have been done so many times. either way, i hold no grudge against stat sigs.

want my guess as a chemestry student? well, ex, just finished final year. "Ca" is the symbol for "calcium" from the periodic table. the '2' can also be explained... when calcium is in a solution, its an ion. ions have positive or negative values, and calcium has a value of 2+. so, Ca2 to me means "calcium ion" or simply, calcium. lol. yeah. i may be wrong, feel free to correct me! (and if i am correct, technically it should be Ca2+, and the '2+' should be superscripted) ontopic: pretty nice fakes, original, done pretty well. keep it up, i wanna see plenty more of em!

seems pretty good to me so far. head seems a little small though, and the ear is very elf-like. ( i know the ear wont be seen with the hood on) heres roughly what i would have done with the person being held in the air by the throat. not great, just a quick sketch. if ever i have trouble with hands/positioning or whatever, i 'experiment' to find out- like, for the neck holding one, pretend you are the person holding the other in the air. your pixel char is holding with his left hand, his right side closest to the 'viewer' so hold your left hand up and pretend your holding someone by the throat, all youll see of the hand is the thumb. the hand will grip just below the bottom jaw bone. hope i somehow helped and havnt completly missed what you were asking :shock:
