Yo so i finally got a new computer.. And what do ya think of the specs? Its an HP with a 22" Moniter btw.. Heres a Pic.. By Talal28 at 2007-07-30

Some of these stories... relate to me.. sorta... i think.. Anyways 8-) I had 2 PS1s when i was around 10? maybe.. so i put them both in a box.. I had bought both of them when they were around 350$ one of them had an LCD screen attached.. that was around 400$? So, we were moving.. and i was packing up to go up the stuff in the uhaul.. And a was carrying the box with them.. I put it on the ground behind a tree... And i forgot about it Very Tragic? :wall:

Yeah, I might go and upgrade the RAM myself, but im not sure if i can get them to do it for me. The screen looks tight.. 20" Baby!

Ok guys, I got the dell magazine a few days ago and I'm planning on getting this computer 8-) Im planning on getting it with 2 gigs of RAM instead of its normal 1gig. Is it worth It? :-s I am planning to get it at this price. \

You can get by with using Vista with 1gb of ram for normal use. 2GB is suggested for any type of gaming, or high end programs such as photoshop ect. I might get 2 gigs, im not going to do anything big like a huge game, but I never know when I find a nice game for not too much money :-w

Yeah, I heard Home Premium is better than basic, even though its a little more expensive. So im thinking im going to get a dell, i found a couple dells that looked pretty nice. Anyway.. Ima get 2gigs of ram, if the comp already has like 512mb or 1gig of ram how much will it cost to upgrade to 2 gigs?

thats what Im thinking. Vista IS a better operating system, and if you want to play any games ~ 1 year from now you will need it, as its the only operating system with dx10. if you buy xp, you will just end up with having to upgrade for about $100 a year or 2 down the road. Bottom line: get vista as far as hardware, dell's crash no more then HP's do, all of those claims stem from one bad part put in their computers a few years ago that caused many many problems. Both manufacturers use the exact same hardware, in most cases. They do? Ok, that might make my decison easier, im probably going to get the new comp next week! \

They could be making a bad choice, but eh.. Not our loss.. When I used Vista at Circuit City a few days ago I felt .. dumb. It is soo different. Pretty hard to find were some things were.

Well, on the first one, I dont use firefox but i know ppl that have that happen. I cant help the 2cnd one b/c i dont use firefox.

...Care to give any rationale for what you're saying? Or is it just pure "omg dell sucks lol". Well, I've used both, read reviews/articles for both , and heard other's overall consensus for both. It could just be a matter of opinion, but I think that HP's are great computers. That's not to say that Dell's aren't, but I just like HP's more. Of course it really just depends on what's inside of the computer. I've just never in my life heard of anyone refer to a standard Dell computer as great. Me too, Ive always heard people saying that HP is good, alot of my friends have Hp's and the computer I'm running atm is an 8 year old E-Machine that updates dont change anything on it.

Ok, as you can see by my title, I want to know if i should get an HP computer or a Dell with Vista Ultimate Installed and maybe 2gigs of RAM. What type of computer runs more efficently with Vista? I need some help deciding, since im probably going to buy a new computer in the summer.

^^Yep, its pretty expensive for that. Im thinking of just buying a new computer with 2gig of ram and vista ultimate.
