Erm.... Dragons are weak to stab, that's the whole point in using a ZS and super antifires on them.

I browse this thread from time to time, even though I don't really have a point to seeing as how my bank is worth like 35m, but I just got a Penguin Staff from an elite clue recently, and I was just curious as to what its street value is if anyone knows.

It provides no runes. It works as a normal "Staff". The other staves tell in their examine what they serve as. Penguin- water, Bat- air, Dragon- Fire, and Wolf- earth.

This. I was contacted by one of those guys recently, and after reporting him I decided to keep him added. He asked for my password so he could upgrade my account for me. I told him I didn't know my password. He asked how I was logged on then, and I informed him that I hadn't logged out since 2002, so there was no need for me to remember a password, since I never planned on getting off RuneScape. :twisted:

Tried that man... Ended up laughing at my friend who wrote "<3 (No Home)" instead of "<3 (No Homo)" for about a hour... Then walked out my house to walk a few miles to McDonalds... Maybe next time I'll keep on track. But thanks for all the advice... I will try the Push ups for sure, and I'm going to go for another attempt tommorow... I'm not even high and I'm laughing my ass off at that for some reason. I guess you could just turn friends and everything to "Off" and then you wouldn't have any distractions. Because how you spend money in a video game totally relates to how you would spend money in real life.... <_< In a video game, theres no effect against you in real life if you spend all your pixels. It's pretty obvious that in real life if you just go blow all your cash, you're screwed. Trying to compare video game economics to real life economics rarely works. Especially in this case. :rolleyes: Also, I agree that the Fury is a great buy. Admitedly I don't own one right now because I sold it to buy 91 herblore so I could boost to overloads, and to get 96 summoning for my yak, but I can assure you once I get enough money, it'll be the first thing I buy. I don't care if it puts my cash pile at 0, all I do is slayer and boss hunt, and I have tons of supplies for both, so right now, in my case anyways, gear > cash pile.

Well next time I get a tzhaar task, I'm going to go through it up until the wave before jad, log out, and do what my RS name says. :wink: I'm always calm and cool after a few rips, so if you're 420 friendly, maybe try that. I don't understand why people hate crashing so much. Online games are competative. For some reason people seem to think that RuneScape isn't competative. When they do get competition they get mad because they can't keep up with it. If you don't want competition play a single player game. If you don't want to play a single player game, don't whine when you can't get a kill because someone who has better gear, better stats, and has put more time into their account can beat you. Seriously, I've played WoW, Shadow Bane, and some other online game that I can't recall the name of right now. In all of those games there is quite a bit of competition (maybe not WoW so much when you're a lower level getting started, but there is still quite a bit of competition), and in all of those games, I never saw a single person whine because they weren't as good as others. Only in RuneScape have I found thousands upon thousands of people complaining that the guy 15 lvls higher than them with better stats and gear gets the kills. I'd be tempted to go back to one of those games but Shadow Bane has recently closed down, my computer has been crapping out on me lately and probably wouldn't handle WoW, and it's just too much fun to crash people and watch them get butthurt over it.

What's up with people thinking Celtic Knot puzzles are hard/not liking them? Personally, after I got my first knot puzzle, I was hooked. It was fun, it was easy, and I wanted MORE. Now on my second elite clue I had 4 celtic knots and it was a great time. The whole clue took me 34 minutes and I came out with Armadyl Chaps and a Penguin Staff. :thumbsup:

Just started an iron dragon task, and 3 kills in I got a lvl 3 clue. Went and did it and got a Rune Plate (h5). Do these have any street value? If so, any idea what it is? Or should I just toss it in the G.E.?

This. Elite black platebody/legs just looks awkward.... But I'm the Elite Penguin that was chosen by the Penguin Gods to spread their message across the Role Playing World of Runescape whenever I get bored of slaying. Is this some kind of joke? Of course saving an already .JPG'd (for lack of better word) as a .PNG won't make the .PNG better quality. Just read the post above. No, it's not a joke. If you fail to realize that you do NOT want to fill your website with hundreds of large size images then you are a moron. My point here was that Size > Quality in this case. The reason I told you about irfanview was that most people here seem to use paint to save their images, which uses always the same options for .jpg saving making the quality loss easily noticeable. However it's possible to reduce the .jpg quality loss so much that it isn't even noticeable with bare eye. Your post made you sound like one of those .png fanatics who always use .png no matter what and end up with large 2mb size pictures that cause teeth grinding for many. I admit that the size comprasion was unfair because the lowered quality caused by .jpg also caused the .png size to skyrocket. when you are showcasing a (for the most part) graphical update, you should save the image in a high quality format. optionally, they could have left the thumbnails as jpegs, and made the larger images png. But it's not even a graphical update. They just changed the splashes a bit. Changing the graphics of the splashes, AKA, graphical update. Even if it's just a bit of a change. They changed the look of dragons a bit a while ago, by your logic, since it was just a bit of a change, it wasn't a graphical update, even though it was changing how things looked.

I just got arma chaps and a penguin staff from a clue. I'd been looking to get a dragon plate spike kit, so I traded my chaps for one, but now I'm worried to put it on and was wondering if you can take it off later to sell it. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Some skills are missing, but it was EPIC. What was the last skill? I know after Slaying, Thieving came, then what? The order i see is: Farmig, water the seed with an herblore potion, agility, woodcutting, firemaking, fletching, ranged, magic, mining, runecrafting, smithing, lay a trap with hunting, summon a turoth with summoning, trap with hunter and kill with slayer, have a thieving animation to retrieve a gold frame and a ruby and craft it into a ruby amulet unstrung. After that, when he shoots something into the sky i have no idea. After ranged comes fishing, then magic, then cooking. He shoots a fish with an arrow and uses magic to pull it out of the water and drop it onto the fire he made. Edit: I could be wrong here, but I think after he makes the ruby amulet, the next skill is prayer. He uses the amulet to pick up the skull from the turoth or w/e it was he killed then sends it into the sky as an offering for the gods i guess? Edit 2: So after like 8 or 9 jungle wyrm tasks I got my first hex. :shades: :shades: But they weren't done showering me in gifts yet. The next kill I got an elite clue. I've gotten both of my elites from them so far, I'll edit this later with the reward. Edit 3: Elite Clue #2 done. Arma Chaps and Penguin Staff :thumbup: :thumbup:

Healsplats would be hell in PvP. My argument about Sharks healing 200 every single time was for slaying or bosses. Imagine as you're being claw spec'd you eat. Let's say it hit 647-12-0-35. As you're being spec'd you eat a shark, and instead of seeing the 647 against you, you see the purple 200 and think they fail the spec. Guess who gets KO'd because of healsplat spam? I'll have to pass on having that in PvP (or bosses for that matter). If you're going to say "you can see the healthbar," I say the same to you. For the second part of your post, again, trial and error. Seriously though, you CAN see the health bar, and your life points in the corner of your screen by your map. If you can't keep track of when to eat based off of this, and need to see what you're getting hit for everytime, you should stay off PvP worlds. Now I'm not saying it doesn't help to see what you're getting hit for, but did Jagex ever say that heal splats would cover damage splats? No. For all we know the heal splats could appear over your health bar. Just relax and wait until it's released before you get mad. Personally, I think this looks like a good update. And to all the haters, did you bother to look at the pics very closely at all? Notice in the corner is says "Work in progress". That means that none of this is set in stone yet. It could be ENTIRELY different than the pics when it is released into the game. How about instead of ranting and raving over a future update that is still being worked on, you just grit your teeth and wait until they put it into the game and you can see how you like it then. You never know what it'll be like, so you all just need to chill out and stop getting mad about something that is still being worked on. But you can see your healthbar go up when you eat so that really is a poor argument to use. I would not be satisfied without a toggle or a compromise of some sort. Keep it out of all PvP situations and boss monsters (or anything 1.5x your combat level), for instance. Also, the point of having "work in progress" written on the pictures is to obtain feedback, which is what I'm giving. My so-called "rants" are feedback of what I thought of the Dev Blog as well as a related poll from a month or so ago. About the healsplats showing over hits (that they should not), that is one of the compromises I already suggested in a previous post of mine. It happens at Dung all the time which is why I bring it up... Ok, maybe not ranting, but it's still an awful lot of complaining over something that isn't even in the game yet and still being worked on. As I said before, let them put it in and you try it out before deciding that it's no good. Dude, you actually use the health bar and life points in the corner? I keep track of my HP through the damage I receive. Health bar is to inaccurate and the LP circle is way to far away from the action on the main screen. Way to far away? What? Do you have peripheral vision? I can look at my character and read my LP circle without moving my eyes. If you do have to move your eyes to see it though, it takes less than half a second to glance at it and then back to your character.

If you'd look at my previous clue pics, you would've known it was since they reworked the lvl 1-3s to guarantee a TT item. Its funny that people complain about getting willow comp bows though. They're worth around 50k while magic comp is like 1-2k and yew comp is less than 1k.
