  1. It was either that or no poll at all. In the end, does it really matter that much?
  2. When did you last kill mithrils? They are extremely easy to kill and you are only limited by your antifire supply just as steels. (By the way, I stopped bringing antifire to steels, don't really need it lol). The mithril bars aren't "safe" because the dragons are hard to kill, they are safe because nobody bothers picking them up.
  3. Well... rune dragons obviously aren't meant to be killed by low levels so having high level players vote makes sense.
  4. They strawpolled the location for them during one of their livestreams and Kethsi came out on top, that would obviously require ROTM. http://strawpoll.me/3722736/r
  5. Right now he is rank 1 out of 2594 total players. Getting smith level up would only make him fall 130 ranks!
  6. According to your numbers, your account was created on Wednesday, 9 November 2005 give or take couple days. Both Bunny Ears and Scythe were released two years earlier, in 2003, with no chance to obtain them later on. I also never heard of any complete account wipes happening after the release of rs2. There is only one explanation to this: You have the wrong account!
  7. Bunny ears and Scythe come from Varroc clothes shop. I have a strange feeling that you tried to get them on 07scape though, in that case, you do not have them unless you redo the holiday events during holidays.
  8. No. Those numbers are randomly assigned on login when you have your display name removed.
  9. He had Vitalis pre-boss counter update, and apparently he has like 7k+ Vorago kills from what I hear.... So Kaur, you're still dumb. How does someone having a certain amount of kills make me dumb? Edit: Looks like you Mod Ryan haters got what you wanted, congratulations.
  10. You mean the summer of 05? http://services.runescape.com/m=news/magic-and-wilderness-updates ;)
  11. Weekly tears of guthix is awesome for getting relatively large chunks of exp in your lowest skills.
  12. 350 - Bringing Home the Bacon 500 - Perils of Ice Mountain 1,000 - Recipe for Disaster 2,000 - Spirit of Summer (additional 15,000 xp available if level 50 or higher) 3,000 - Enlightened Journey 3,500 - A Fairy Tale Part I 4,000 - Grim Tales 5,000 - Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf 5,000 - Garden of Tranquility 5,000 - My Arm's Big Adventure 7,000 - Rum Deal 11,000 - Fairy Tale III - Orks Rift 20,000 - The Branches of Darkmeyer 24,000 - Back to my Roots Total: 91,350 Experience. Nothing really stands out. All the quests that would give enough for level 30 have higher farming requirements. Fairy tale 1 requires nothing though so I guess start with that.
  13. Much as I hate how comkcally grindy the game is, at least that gave you some control over whether or not you achieved something. Because...well, is it still an achievement if you have no control over whether or not you've achieved it? Genuinely curious about what you guys think there. Why not have a balance of stuff that can be grinded and stuff that can not? There's plenty of the first one.
  14. Too bad there is nobody to show off to apart from bots... As for me, I kept all my stuff on rs2 when it was released.
  15. I completely agree with you. I still believe the times before gravestones existed were the best times. You had your two minutes and after that it was game over. I recently happened to read a bunch of nostalgic comments on a runescape video, there were so many people talking about their first time they died with all of their stuff at the mages south of varroc and how they learned a valuable lesson from that. They wouldn't have it any other way... To counter the disconnections problem, perhaps make a system that force logs you out or teleports you to a safe area when the connection is lost. Don't they already check if you are still connected every 5 seconds or so? Shouldn't be too hard to implement if that was the case. While I remember the good stuff about dying (also picking up loot from other players), there are also a lot of ragequit moments, which seems to be forgotten. I remember dying with an (for me) expensive armor at godwards and at contact when it came out... we mostly remember the good stuff when thinking back, we rarely remember the bad stuff. I personally think the systems should be combined. You have a short timer (2 minutes seems short? not sure) and after that you can buy your stuff back if you want to. That seems like a good compromis to me, and makes death more a penalty than it is now. Well, you shouldn't take something worth millions to a place you can get easily killed. That's just common sense. Except that the most expensive armour/weapons are most useful in those area's (PvM). Not that I do those kinds of things, yet :P Name a place you can't get back to in two minutes, I dare you. (Except the gwd killcount door which could be moved around a bit)

  17. There are art/screenshot/short story/video competitions all the time, might as well make something simpler every once in a while.
  18. Thing is, it's not a popular demand. ;) As for the don't like don't play, I don't accept it either for most cases but when it comes to very basics of the games fundamental mechanics it's different. Last time a fundamental change like that happened(EOC duh) a huge amount of players quit, I don't think Jagex is going to repeat the same mistake. 1/5000 IS common enough. Maybe kill goblins for a 1/10 drop chance of goblin mail if you think this is too much for you. There are options!
  19. Again, if you hate the basics of the game so much, why play it? It will not change no matter how much you rant. Stop blowing things out of proportion with your lottery example but if that's what you are trying to do, then buy half of all the tickets and pray to rngsus. 50/50 chance to win, even better than getting Vitalis!
  20. I never said that though. Stop trying to act smart and give me statistics lessons lol. One is just standing around doing nothing for no real purpose while the other is actually playing the game?
  21. Say you have a 5 man team and get 5 kills per hour, with one of them being your kill. On average you'd need to spend 5000 hours. You tell me how many years that would take you ;)
  22. You, sir, are implying way too much. I know exactly how the thresholds work. If you don't have vitalis, you go and get it. Simple as that. It may take a year or it may take a day but it's doable. Something being more time consuming compared to the others is simply irrelevant. It's just your blind hate against 'luck' talking.
