The whole damn game is pure RNG, it does not reward lucky scrubs as you say, it rewards RANDOM people. You are acting as if none of the so called 'hardcore pvmers' never got any pets. Do you think they did not feel rewarded when they got their pets? That's clearly not the case and it's obvious when they walk their pets with massive killcounts around the grand exchange. According to the recently released killcount records, noone even has 3k vorago kills while the drop rate is 1 in 5000. You have no right to complain before you go over 10k kills. Yes, the numbers are high, boohoo. The whole update is bad because you have a friend who cries too much? TL;DR Gold Final boss is a realistic goal for many, including two of rs3 top streamers on Twitch. (Omid and Dragonseance). To say it does not recognize their talents and dedication is just dumb.

The point where you look at an achievement and go "Oh come on!" Or, if you'd prefer, the point where it becomes more about increasingly contrived 'achievements' than sensible design. 'Final Boss' isn't so widespread that it needs another tier, especially not one where the only tangible difference is that you have to essentially win the lottery to get it. Getting all pets is actually a reasonable goal to set yourself, something to work for if you like bossing and have done pretty much everything else the game has to offer. Sure if may sound crazy if you haven't even maxed yet but think of others who have already done it all with nothing else left to do. Only current achievement that I look at with the 'oh come on' look is the 5k castle wars one.

So you don't like being able to show off your achievements? Would you rather the game have no skill capes, no hiscores, no comp capes, no rares? Might as well make it singleplayer then. What's stupid about them? What's wrong with giving people goals to work towards? It's not like it's required for comp cape or anything. I actually like your little suggestions and would support them in runelabs! :shades:

I wouldn't even consider gaining exp to be 'endgame'. You can just buy exp. Stat maxing boosters coming soon to Solomon store following the fashion of other mmorpgs (hello World Of Warcraft!)

Soul Reaper and Boss Pets aren't really bigger than say addy dragons or slayer belt in terms of development time. You are contradicting yourself here. There is a large chunk of ninja updates every week, it's not like they stopped doing them to make space for couple bigger ones. Can't really call yourself completionist if you haven't completed all bosses. Simple as that. What's your problem here? Wait what? I don't see what was removed? The ability to abuse a bug that allowed to deal damage to 'damage immune' bosses? Not sure if you are even serious. Majority of the bosses can be done by pretty much everyone. Who can't kill General Graador, Giant Mole, KBD or barrows bros? If you get a boss beyond your skill level, there is one FREE skip a day for you. 'everyone' includes the pvm crowd. As I said above, read the patch notes to see your weekly everyday improvements. And no, Ryan is a Q/A tester in the Ninja team, Mod Ana is the boss. If you take a look at the hiscores you can see over 15k people at max total level. Simply being maxed does not separate you from the casuals crowd any more(as opposed to what some people on this thread believe) No

But there is a balance. Mod Ryan is just one guy. How many actual 'endgame' updates have there been in the past year? Two or three? Compared to 30+ updates aimed at the casual player. How is that unfair? RuneScape did not even have true 'endgame' content until the past few years. I'd say that is pretty poor game design.

Called it lol: I wonder if all this is a lead up to World Event 3(the next big update by that scrum team) or will that only be the next piece of the big picture. Perhaps it has something to do with the 'strange power' event and f61 as the doll can be used to replicate the event on a smaller scale?

Well, the reason I like him is because he worships the same god in RuneScape as I do, Zamorak. That's even more of a reason to continue with the quest line, you will allow King Lathas find out the truth about the Dark Lord.
