  2. Banned for finally getting sandwiched by D_V_Devnull (ME!) ...
  3. @ Ragen and GoingUnder ...: Both of you are banned for misspelling my name. Now, quit it so the conversation can go elsewhere.
  4. Banned for launching this whole "Moogle" campaign... (QUIT IT OUT!!! YOU'RE DRIVING ME MAD!!! ...)
  5. Banned for your obsession with Law Runes. Banned for mis-spelling my name again. Whadda I have to do, add your RSN to my buddy list and scream your ears off? Maybe follow you around and use the "spin" emote to slap you? STOP MIS-SPELLING MY NAME!!!
  6. Banned for liking pickles.
  7. I'll take a 592, thank you.
  8. Banned for having an overly true quote. Btw, I just found out that the maximum gp limit in RuneScape is around 2 billion gp...
  9. LOL, okay, at least that makes since. Stupid me, assuming KS_Jeppe was male. #-o Ah, so that's what's going on! I'll stand by, keep browsing, and hope you manage to get it fixed. :D Have fun and enjoy repairing it! Remember, the struggle to fix a problem like this is only a bit much if you can't have fun at the same time! :D ~Mr. D. V. Devnull 8-)
  10. banned for shortening "your" into "ur"...
  11. A hair off-topic... Last time I checked, Albosky and KS_Jeppe are both male... Please excuse me while I take this the wrong way. :ohnoes: :uhh: :-X :anxious: :wall: :? :(
  12. 588 More like I got you. SANDWICH!!! 1337n355!!! [Edit]
  13. I agree with hobgoblin11... I have had to fight with this about a hundred times myself, and it is getting bloody annoying and wearing me out having to deal with stuff like this! :x [Edit]GIVE US A FLAMING DST CONTROL IN OUR PROFILES!!![/size] ...]
  14. 586 At least I got in under you! (Yes, I intend for that to sound so wrong... ...)
  15. Killing the view count would be a nice idea. Shall we expand on this? I don't know of anyone that uses it, and DragnFly is right, it would kill a lot of server load to remove this bugger. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  16. 583 ... I sandwich you instead!!!
  17. banned for spelling "wrong" as "rong"...
  18. Banned for carrying too much!
  19. Missed a few screenshots, but you got the point across. Yes, folks, that is what happened at Draynor Bank a few RuneScape Updates back. Seems the NPCs get to move around and do insane things when we, the players, are all mostly offline.
  20. No, he doesn't. He is frequently on MSN though. Hey could you do me a favor and tell him I say hi? I cleared my msn list when I stopped playing because it was just full of RS friends. I'm just dropping through with a tip: If you use hotmail/msn e-mail addresses, check the web interface. There should be an address list on the MSN server that will still have all the MSN Messenger addresses you ever had on your list. Just hope this helps you. : you can clean that list too :-w I am hoping he did not clean out his backup master list. :) I did :| Darn. #-o
  21. stew Yup. :) :anxious:  : :D 8-)
  22. I know it's already been shot down by the community, but it's one of the many useless things that's makes SQL queries that we don't need. I just like prodding the admins about it. :P Images being stored on the forum server is just a few more kb in bandwidth and another item sent from the webserver after it's run through all the PHP. The real problem is the PHP and SQL queries underneath it all that actually drives the forum software. If you look at the page generation time at the bottom of the page, it's telling you how long it took the server to run through the forum software before even spitting out an imageless page to you. On a good day, that should be well below .5s. :? For quick comparison, the phpBB3 beta on my webserver, with just me browser around, generates pages in .07 seconds. The tip.it server would be doing that too, but it's handling 100's of users at the same time, bogging it down, and sometimes causing errors. It wouldn't be a problem if Tip.It had a beafier server, but that means more money that they probably don't have. Not being able to buy a bigger server means trying to speed up the software, which is why I was for the removal of post counts. It's one less thing to update when someone posts and one less thing to grab from the DB when a lot of people are viewing threads. Just browsing around while replying to this I ran into this beauty of a time: They do their best to keep it running smoothly for everyone, even if we do see a few errors from time to time. You may be thinking about SQL queries, but the whole server has to slow down for physical disk accesses, tons of which occur every minute to retrieve avatars, and therefore suck up the bandwidth that PhpBB could have been using to deliver pages. There would be far, far less of these such that PhpBB could run far, far faster, if Tip.It Forums was not hosting our avatars for us. The server is, at this point, actually having to queue pages to send to people due to the image send-out loads. My browser won't even render the page until it has everything, so I have to wait a lot of extra time before I will see anything. If it could go to 20 websites to get its' stuff instead of having to pound the crud out of one, I would see my pages way beyond far faster, and Tip.It Forums would be taking a lot less of a pounding. Duplicate this effect over 100k+ users, and you start seeing what I am seeing. I took the time out to see the full picture before posting. Maybe now, you see it also. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull :boohoo: (Btw, I will use the violin rarely... watch out.)
  23. Jagex needs to improve the report system, badly. A video, carrying all of the recent public chat data would work far better than these mere screenshots... :notalk:
  24. I disagree... I have seen coal sold for as little as 100 gp ea, and up to 300 gp ea maximum... people won't pay beyond 300 gp ea for coal to smelt their ore with, even if they are trying to smelt runite...
  25. Point taken from Albosky, KS_Jeppe, Mercifull, and Cameron... DOWN WITH CASH MODS!!! I've seen cash mods used on invision forums for games like "MediWar" ( http://www.mediwar.com ) ... It allows those who use forums to take an advantage over those that don't in that game, just among other things. Here on Tip.It forums, it would possibly have a chance of making noobs (yes, I am using THAT word) look like gaming gods... I don't think we want that. Both on-topic and off-topic at the same time, there's also one other problem with these forums, which I note in a query thread here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=3474486#3474486 We could decrease the server load of the forums greatly if people could host their avatar images on their own instead of tip.it grabbing them and hot-loading them to server. Tip.It Forums is only hurting themselves by deciding to take over hosting our avatar images. And that's my full $10.00 of mental thoughts on this matter. More than 'nuff said. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
