Hard leather or soft leather?
Sadly, there is no one answer for something like this. The market keeps changing. You'll want to target making full basic range armor for sale though. There will be those who want to buy it before they get into ranging. :)

protect from mage
Sounds like the info they are giving is for the wildi. 2 out of every 5 shots will miss, and up to 50% chance of no damage for the other 3 of 5 shots... Not that great, really. Btw, if you're fighting an npc (doesn't matter if wildi or non-wildi), protect from mage is full protection against the npc's magic attacks. It won't matter what kind of mage they are. Hope all this helps. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Best way to get capes?
Yeah, kill highwaymen (lvl 5) and then go get whats-her-name to make dyes for you. Saves ya gp for the hard-to-make ones. Instead of paying 40 gp, you pay maybe 5 to 10 gp max, providing you don't still have to bug that gardener in the back of falador. Hope this helps! ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

will thye get banned?
It goes under the header of "Gain their trust, THEN ROB THEM BLIND..." as their strategy. :( I hate people like that. I had to clear out about 8 friend entries because one jerk tried to pull that on me. He did not get away with it though, and I did get my stuff back. Of course, I think I managed that one without having to report the punk. :?

what is the best way to get nats and laws for free in non-me
Kill lvl 75 ankous. They drop laws somewhat like crazy. If you wish to stay alive and be there a while, take about 16 swordfish (Preferably More!) with you, so that you have food to rebuild your hp instead of being an easy slaughter.

Catablepon - 3rd lvl of StrongHold of Security
Yes, there is, so get out your mage runes! There are some Level 68 Catablepons in a back corner of the 3rd floor. At one of the two entry zones is a major bottleneck or two from where you can mage and attack them without taking damage. I suggest laying into them with fire strike, a very simple but very effective spell for this task. Make sure to keep your melee armor on backup and have about 10 swordfish (or more) on standby in food. Use of the curse/weaken/confuse spells is highly recommended. They'll make your kills go far faster. Have fun and enjoy killing them! And in case you're curious, I have already tested combos like this one. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Magic staff
I concur with full_metal on this issue. Magic Staff is a good starter for a basic f2p mage. But if you have at least 2k gp, then you should sell your magic staff to Zaff and buy an elemental staff (air/water/earth/fire)... I recommend the most versatile one, the air staff, over all the others, though.

Mining :p
I go with coal. 1k exp for every 20 mined, far faster than iron. Plus I need the coal anyway for the mithril I am mining! :anxious:

Players from the past.
No, he doesn't. He is frequently on MSN though. Hey could you do me a favor and tell him I say hi? I cleared my msn list when I stopped playing because it was just full of RS friends. I'm just dropping through with a tip: If you use hotmail/msn e-mail addresses, check the web interface. There should be an address list on the MSN server that will still have all the MSN Messenger addresses you ever had on your list. Just hope this helps you. : you can clean that list too :-w I am hoping he did not clean out his backup master list. :)

Is Karamja Island Pier the Twilight Zone?
Okay, from how I see it, here's what's going on: 1.) Tons of people (and macros) flock to Karamja Pier... 2.) They start fishing and talking a lot... 3.) Because the density is so high, and the server can't understand a lot of people there for a long period, anti-macro npcs are deployed... 4.) Some bots die, others live... Players get bugged during this time if they don't know how to break sequence... 5.) Head back to Falador or do something else and bank/use your fresh fish... 6.) Repeat all steps... Fair enough? ~Mr. D. V. Devnull 8-)

Tip.It Forum System Status, 2006-08-10
Already discussed and shot down. Maybe the fact that all the images for avatars being on the forum.tip.it server is a problem? Sure would give me less trouble if I could have hosted my image from where I wanted!

Hey, did the forums just crash or something today on 2006-08-10 PDT :?: I was browsing, trying to post, and then I got a PhpBB error saying something about theme troubles, and then found myself logged out completely. What's going on :?:

Runescape Crashed
Whatever, FireFox still owns InterJUNKnet Explorer  Only if you have Java 1.5.0_06 or later, does FF PWN IE 1000%... I learned FF has a few twisted things to it, much to my dismay. :( SADLY, NO BROWSER IS PERFECT. BY NOW, WE ALL SHOULD KNOW THIS!

Runescape Crashed
It actually sounds like you're using too high a version of IE... Running IE6 and Sun Java 1.4.2_02 while on RuneScape at High Detail here... Java sandbox expanded to over 100 MB of RAM. Works nicely for me. Sorry, no screenshots for you!
