Please, don't make assumptions. BOTH articles you mention were published AFTER the article that angered Andrew, so that last statement is simply not true. And please remember that this particular edition of the Times are Letters to the Editor, not a Tip.It Times article. The views expressed in these letters to the Editor are those of spiffycamel and llamster, NOT the Tip.It Times, the Editor, or Tip.It.

Did you ever stop to think that the Tip.It staff can only publish letters they actually receive???? You make it sound like Tip.It only publishes letters they agree with. Bull. I was the Crew Leader here for over 2 years, and there is no truth to that whatsoever. Maybe if people actually submitted good, well written letters, they would get published. Tip.It can only publish letters that people take the time to write and send in. Instead of posting a ranty, whiny complaint that doesn't hold water, why not send a letter to the Editor? If you want an opposing viewpoint published, quit griping about it, and WRITE ONE!

Sorry, but a ring of wealth does absolutely NOTHING as far as clue drops go. The Ring of Wealth only increases the chances you'll get a better/rarer drop from the monsters you're killing. And clue scrolls are not considered rare drops.

There's a problem with the monster table in the Treasure Trails Guide. The Rellekka Citizens row is off. The level (48) is in the Category Column instead of the Level column, which is throwing the whole row off. This is because someone added a monster to the level 1 category, and didn't bother to increase the rowspan at the beginning of the category: 1 2 Man All over Runescape. Change the rowspan value from 22 to 23.

Before you start, be sure to read through Tip.It's Treasure Trails Guide. It contains all the information you'll ever need for doing trails and solving clue scrolls. The best on the web, imho! :wink:

mchainmail is correct. That thread is for active and future Crew projects, not for community member guides and projects. It does, however, need to be updated. MPM can tackle that when he has some spare time. :wink:

Next time, you might want to try looking in the Crafting Guide for information on making toy mice.

I don't get it. A PMG should be completely finished and ready for posting BEFORE it's posted to the site. You should be typing your guide into a word processor or on Notepad before posting it to the forums.

I don't want to see it "full of complaints", but the opposite isn't good either. Nothing is improved by saying "yay, great job!" -- especially when it isn't true. Granted that not all complaints are valid, but many are. I think a fan site should be independent and objective, and two consecutive editorials defending Jagex strikes me as odd. Sorry, but this piece is not an editorial. For the article to be an editorial piece, it would have to be written by the Editor, and this article wasn't. It was written by a guest author, a Tip.It Community member just like you. And besides, even if the article HAD been written by the Editor, his or her opinons don't necessarily reflect those of Tip.It or its staff. Or didn't you notice the disclaimer at the top of the Times page???? In any event, this article was written and submitted by someone who is not connected to Tip.It it any way - other than being part of the community. So you certainly can't lay his opinions and views at Tip.It's door. And if you would like the community to see the other side of the story and hear your arguments, why don't you write an article and submit it? The Crew can only publish various points of view if readers take the time to submit them!

BTW, this is the board to discuss general improvements to the website. Changes, suggestions and corrections to a specific guide should be posted on the Website Updates & Corrections board.

Get yourself a selection of coloured gloves from Canafis. Have a member friend get them for you at cost. Then sell them on a F2P server for 2k each. Very easy to sell, and you'll make over 300% profit on each pair.

This is the most inane question I've ever seen. Jagex's decision to develop a German version of the game has nothing to do with the languages most spoken in the world or German-speaking people having a more difficult time adjusting to English or the fact that Germany's in Europe. It has everything to do with their customer base. I'm sure Jagex staff didn't throw a dart at the map of the world to decide which language they would target. They analysed their client base and selected the largest non-english speaking group of people that plays RS. Duh. It's not complicated. If you were opening a restaurant and everyone in town was a vegetarian, what kind of restaurant would you open? Texas BBQ? No. Vegetarian. It's the same thing - Jagex chose German because the majority of non-english RS players are German. And Jagex is a business, out to make money. They wouldn't make any money if they developed the game in a language that only a few of their players speak. Get it?
